Russ, I aam a drone pilot and use lithium polymer batteries. When i dont use them, we store them at a storage voltage. Its about 3.80 per cell. Max charge is 4.20 volts lowest is 3.50 volts So in short check with manufacturer to see what the battery storage voltage should be. Your batteries will last much longer. Hope this helps. B. Fox

I had someone on one occasion. A younger driver, cross the centerline coming, straight towards me, looking straight at me and laughing while speeding up. I won’t go into the details, but I will just say he probably will not be doing that again. I believe he learned a very valuable, not soon forgotten, lesson that day.

I was hit by a car while I was riding my bike through a neighborhood a few years ago. The girl was in her early 20's. She told the cops the sun was in her eyes which was funny since the sun was in the west and I was riding north while she was headed south and turning east. As far as the watch goes, go for it if they let you say whatever you want. Thanks for the video.

This difference is if you blow a stop sign and hit a car you’ll get the worst of that not the car. I always slow down at stop sign but if I need to stop I can. I have an Aventon Aventure and I love it. Ride on Russ !

Get an Apple watch. It matches up perfectly with your phone. Takes phone calls. Sends emergency support if you crash. On and on…cycling statistics, heart rate, blood oxygen…I have worn only Apple Watches. Love it. Just updated to a new, titanium one. Good job 👍🏻.

I'd vote no on the smart watch. Nice little scare with the street racer. I've had oncoming cars and trucks pass while in my lane, forcing me onto the shoulder and once into the ditch.

Every time we put on our bike helmet we're putting our asses on the line. I drive my ebike like all other drivers are drunk! I live in Las vegas land of alcohol 🍸 I see it everyday. I try not to ride on the streets anymore or i stay in quiet neighborhoods.

Wreckless is a misspelling of the word reckless. "Wreckless driving " would characterize driving that doesn’t result in any car accidents. I only mention it because I like your channel and feel you are a good deal more intelligent than the average youtuber.

As I was about to get on the bike path there was a car chase. A pickup truck going at a high rate of speed closely followed by a couple of cop cars. Missed me by ten feet. Pretty scary! By the way the car was on the bike path for a couple of miles.

When you see drivers doing that type of $hit, there never seems to be a cop around. I believe that is considered reckless driving and carries a heavy fine and lots of points on your license. Based on the skid marks, he could have run into you if you had gotten to the intersection a few seconds earlier.

That’s worrisome the battery gets that low. Can you unplug the battery from the controller? It seems unlikely it’s the battery itself, but something about the controller keeping some function running in the background all the time. My EUCs are impractical to take the batteries out often (I take them apart a couple times a year to inspect and reloctite screws, replace the tire if it needs it, check the battery packs for damage, etc.), and my big EUC has three battery packs, each would be $600 to replace, so I check that thing every couple weeks even if I’m not riding it just to make sure the voltages are still good. I think that’s by far the nicest looking bike you have, and probably has good batteries, but it makes me wince hearing the battery went to 0%.

I think it continues to run the alarm electronics even though the alarm doesn’t work unless you turn on the battery. It doesn’t seem to drain the battery in the basket. The alarm is inside the battery pack of the draining battery on the rear rack. No way to easily disconnect the wires to the controller.

@@RussIsRight Too bad. Maybe get some sense of the drain rate and get yourself a cheap WiFi plug and turn it on an hour or two a month just to keep it in the safe zone. I have some cheap plugs I use for Christmas lights I paid $10 for that are pretty robustly programmable like that, I use them at Christmas time and also when I go out of town to run some stuff on timers (water some plants and stuff).

I am also curious about the glucose reading. Even if it is not accurate, can it be used to reveal a trend in your levels. It may not tell you the exact level but are you trending up or down over time. My wife is type 1 diabetic and have wanted to get something that is not invasive because she checks her level three or more times a day. She is not interested in the wearable monitors because they cost much more than the finger stick devices. Thanks for your reviews.

The video I saw seemed to say that mid-range glucose levels seemed close, but wide swings up or down was way off. So perhaps it could be possible to check for large trending issues… just not sure unless I test it myself.
