I can confirm that the newest version of the Ocelot Pro as of 4/18/23 does some with a firmware upgrade that allows you turn on "cruise control". It is off by default and is under the menu as 'Set Pace', again this is set to off from the factory. Also they have cut the rear fender where the chain in position of 1 of the gears would possibly rub.

I just picked up a pair of these. Actually picked them up from the warehouse in CA. Mine unfortunately do NOT have the menu option to disable cruise control. Emailed support and hoping something can be done.

Even the Phone holder is aluminum not plastic. The battery is heavy - be careful. I wish the front wheel/seat was not a quick release due to thieves. Just watch on You tube videos on locks for ebikes to see about ebike theft. SAD!! This Magic is eye candy. Get a good lock/s. These are made really well. I bot this due to my DAV issues. Perfect. Thank you for the comprehensive review, very concise explanation of features. You hit all of the significant points, including hill-climbing. Perhaps you could have addressed "comfort" as its own category, instead of commenting on the subject in a piecemeal fashion. Not sure what the intended market is for this bike, but I'm a senior (age 68) and comfort is one of my priorities, more so than weight or even cost factors. In any case, the bike looks like a comfortable ride for a short person like me (inseam 28 inches). Nice erect riding posture. Smooth riding. Easy to hop on, hop off, and stand while at a stop. Decent seat (but I plan on installing new fat/wide seat and a suspension seatpost for maximum comfort). And I totally agree with your comment regarding the automatic cruise control. I hope Magicycle includes an option in the future to disable the cruise control. 😎

OMG! I would consider buying one just for the programability of the levels and to be able to adjust it to 7 or 9 assist levels is unbelievable. My only gripe on my Aventon is the way the power is setup. Not enough in first too much in second and not enough in third. Every ebike should have this, I have wanted this so bad, it just makes sense, everyone can set it up for the way they use the bike. Now, the question is can I use their controller in my Aventon or Rad power. ..

I agree with the brakes on an ebike needing to be hydraulic. They should’ve always been, but now it needs to be exclusively hydraulic on all ebikes coming out. Also a rear brake light along with a headlight that is not simply a be seen light, but an actual light that allows you to see too.

As a 5'2" women, so glad you show smaller people on the bike, thank your wife. Quick question, I saw in your review that you can set up the Power for each PAS, does that mean that this bike allows you to go to a very slow pace? Cause I bought another ebike, and in PAS 1, you barely touch the peddle and you are at 15km/h and you can't go slower than that. I hate that for when you are on a bike path with traffic and you need to slow down, the only options is to put it in PAS 0. So wondering if this bike will fit my liking?

Great bike and a fantastic review. I'm concerned about that auto-cruise. I think at a minimum a lot of people are going to get hurt with it and at the max, a few are going to get killed in collisions with vehicles. It may take a lawsuit for the company to decide to get rid of it. I don't really see the need for it anyway, I mean I'm not going to ride the bike on the interstate highway for 500 miles. These ebikes that weigh 70-80+ lbs. seem nice until you add some accessories (tail rack, bag, tools, maybe front rack) and a a good lock. That puts it at almost 90+ lbs. No way these bikes are rideable with no power assist. Mine has 27.5x2.10” tires which is way better for rolling resistance and weights 54 lbs. with all accessories. Still heavy but I do ride it a lot without power. Where I live there are lots of extended hills so ebike assist helps on the way home. Get a lighter ebike and it will feel more like a regular bike.

@@ridebecauseucan1944 - Interesting subject. This bike has a 20AH battery with fat tires, so peddling without assist is definitely going to be limited due to weight and friction.
