I'll try to see if I can help. There's a few things that come to mind. The bearing that came installed on the yoyo is usually lubed pretty heavily, it will eventually become thinner and less responsive the longer you play so adding some lube works. It's also possible that changing the string may help because after long play, the string becomes less sensitive certain things when you play. I hope this helps.

Can you tell me if you bought the version that is responsive or unresponsive or both where it comes with both bearings? But to try to hello answer your question, my first comment is if you are using the string the yoyo came with, after a few weeks the string will get really thin. I would first check the torsion of the string. Torsion is the amount of twist on the string. You may notice before I do tricks in my reviews that I'll pick the yoyo up from the string and raise my non throwing hand to see if twists occur. If it makes a U shape, it had perfect torsion. I'm right handed, so if I see the string twist counterclock wise, that means it's too tight, doing a ufo to your left will loosen it, and it's vice versa when it twists clockwise (too loose), so a ufo to the right will tighten it. I would also suggest some thicker string to try out first. The string I most commonly use is bought from yoyosam, it's the AceYo string that's $9 for 100 string, it's cheap and does the job, they're ok with hooks and whips but is good for everything else. If the bearing is a narrow bearing, where it's usually flat. The unresponsive bearing would have a concave. The narrow bearing comes lubed, that will eventually get used up after a few months of regular play. Some thick lube will make your yoyo responsive again. If you have an unresponsive bearing I would suggest you to NOT put lube in it. You'll have to learn a bind to bring your yoyo up. Also doing a bind with a responsive yoyo works the same. You'll notice I do that in this video from time to time. I know this is lengthy but I'll eventually makes videos to cover more things. I hope this helps.

Hmm, did the string get caught in between the bearing and the yoyo? That sometimes happens with this yoyo when the string you use is thin. The bearing it usually gets installed is a responsive bearing.

I'm going to assume you mean it doesn't perform like an unresponsive yoyo and instead plays like a responsive. If you can go into a little but more detail hopefully I can help. What comes to mind is that the string can sometimes fall in between the bearing and it's seat which can cause the yoyo to not spin at all and just act like a responsive yoyo. Swapping out to a new string or using a slightly thicker string may help. 🙂

I originally recorded some footage where I was trying to do hubstack tricks with the K1. But when I was editting the video, it was starting to get into the 14 minute range because I was covering the other configurations that could be set up on the K1. So I had to cut out some footage. Once I get better at it, I'll try to make a tutorial or a video of yoyo with hubstack. I do have a YYF 888, I think I can cover more with that yoyo with hubstacks.

@@NothingThere000 so I only own the responsive version which I was able to get it to spin around 15 seconds since the bearing is packed with lube. So it's a good practice yoyo to fine tube one's techniques. I have heard that there are unresponsive versions that will definitely spin longer.

Actually I have the same yoyo but the bearing is concave and it actually didn't used to come up with a tug but when I do it now it does come back is it because I lubed it?

It does sound like you bought the unresponsive version as so far all the responsive bearings I've seen are flat. If you lubed that bearing, yes it will turn it into a responsive yoyo.

So you may have to give be a little more detail. So the K1 comes in either responsive (yoyo can come up with a sudden the of the string) or unresponsive (yoyo can only come up with a trick called "bind"). Although, a responsive yoyo will also have trouble coming up if there isn't enough spin left for it to try to come back. A throw or sleeper wasn't powerful enough to provide energy to come back up. The string used may be too thin. The silicon pads are worn out (this is unlikely if it's a new yoyo). I don't know if any of these fall on what you're experiencing, but if you can tell me more, I'll try to see if I can help.

That's great! I'd suggest to watch some basic stuff like how to properly hold and throw a yoyo. Learning to throw a proper sleeper. I've been seeing a lot of people trying to learn tricks right off the bat, but I'd suggest learning the fundamentals first. 😊

My first question is, did you buy the yoyo that includes both responsive and unresponsive bearings? Are you sure it's the responsive bearing that's installed? To determine that is "typically" the responsive bearing is a flat bearing and the unresponsive is usually concave or centre Trac. I'm going to assume a responsive bearing is installed and it's not coming up with a tug, -first thought that comes to mind is the string. When string gets old, it starts to lose its ability to come back up. Also using slightly thicker string may help. -another possibility is the lube in the bearing will eventually start to lose its responsiveness. Adding some lube (thin or thick didn't really matter except thick lube will keep the responsiveness longer). I hope this helps. 🙂

That usually means that you will have to practice on your sleeper a bit more. Mine wobbles when I didn't throw it right. Either I released to late, I threw it at a different direction or my snap didn't go right.

What’s like a k1 but not plastic and a step up?

There are so many that come into mind. I think it would more fall on how much is your budget. The first few that come to mind is either a Magic yoyo Node, Hertz, V8, Sharks honour. There's also the Duncan wind runner, TopYo Colossus, Aceyo Gravitation and all of these mentioned so far are usually under $25

@@ImNoahhh2 so usually all yoyos that come right from the factory will be pretty tightly assembled together. I know it sounds cliche but one can only carefully take the yoyo apart. Any time it feels like you're forcing it, stop turning. Because plastic tends to crack due to this (or over tightening in general). Unfortunately if it spins continuously when you try to disassemble it, there's a high chance the shaft may have stripped from the body.

I personally do not own the YYF One unfortunately. If you're a beginner both of these would be good choices to start with. Both come as responsive but can be unresponsive with just a switch off the bearing and possible axle. I probably would choose the YYF One because the K1 is a good starter but I feel that your skill can outgrow it pretty quickly. The One being a little heavier with high side walls may give it a snappier return and no hubstacks. (depending on the company, hubstacks can greatly affect the yoyo's performance in either good or bad ways) I hope this helps.

So most bearings are not completely stainless. Usually the balls are stainless, but the retainer, inner and outer ring are typically just regular carbon steel. I haven't personally checked if this bearing is stainless but here's a way to check if it is. Remove the bearing from it's seat, cover it with a tissue or a anything that has little to no lint and grab any regular magnet and just pass the magnet close to the bearing. If the bearing moves or attaches to the magnet, that means the bearing is not fully stainless and has some steel components.

If it's the responsive version, the bearing it comes with it's lubed very heavily making it not spin very long. I think you should be able to do a good 30 second sleeper before it stops spinning.

So I just took out my Trinity so that I can compare it with the Mojo, and I personally like the Trinity more or at least it feels more comfortable to my playing style. Both play really awesome especially with both being really affordable. The Mojo is a bit more balanced, good rim weight and bounciness. But I feel the Trinity has a tiny bit more rim weight distribution which fits with my playing style. but it's still a really bouncy yoyo. The Mojo has a slight edge on stability compared to the Trinity, but it's so slight that you probably won't notice the difference. Final answer, I prefer the Trinity. I hope this helps.

For me, I think I can get a good 30 second sleeper without doing tricks on the responsive bearing. Maybe at least 1-2 minute if I clean the bearing to be unresponsive.

My K1 are responsive as well. You should still be able to do the sleeper with the K1 but it wouldn't sleep very long because it is responsive. Most of the time it's the technique of doing the sleeper that helps the most. The K1 as a responsive yoyo should give you a good 5-10 second sleeper without much problem.

So there can be a number of reasons why your K1 only sleeps for 7 seconds. It can be that you'll need to practice more on your sleeper or throw to have a nice hard snap on your release or if your throw isn't very straight, the bearing may have too much lube or too thick of lube, the string may be getting caught in between the bearing and the seat, a dirty bearing, or (very rare) you have a bad bearing. @@trandan4405 hmm, it could be a number of things. Some things can be that the string has too much torsion(twist), the yoyo isn't tightened properly, sleeper doesn't have enough snap before the release, and various other things. It's not very often that a yoyo wobbles due to manufacturing defect. You may have to send me a video on how you they're your sleeper or I should make a video tutorial about common things that cause wobble.

Vibe can vary by several factors. Most of the time it's more on the technique of your throw when you try to do a sleeper. Other factors could be string torsion and angle. Lastly it can be the tolerance of the body of the yoyo that can be off but it's not as common now a days due to improvements in manufacturing.

So my version of the K1 came with a responsive narrow bearing. The bearing was also family heavily lubed when I first played with it. If you bought an unresponsive version, I would suggest to buy a bearing and tool kit. It should say that it includes responsive bearings. I hope this helps.
