Tama ka sa Alberta ang presyo ng bahay ay mas mababa (sobrang baba) kaysa Toronto o sa Vancouver. Sa Alberta ang tax ay 5% lang ang GST kumpara sa Ontario na 13% ang HST. Ang discrepancy ng suweldo sa Ontario at Alberta ay napa ka layo. Kung sa mga odd jobs, halos pareho lang, pero kung maka pag trabaho ka rito sa Oil and Gas related companies, napa ka taas ng sahod dito. Sa field or sa job site, mataas ang sahod - for example ang electrician dito ay sumasahod ng $85 an hour. Sa mga technologist or engineering related work ay suma sahod dito ng more than $100 an hour. Just to give you an idea of how much the pay here in Alberta.

Regardless po sa income, minimum man o hindi, you still live a decent life dito sa Canada, depende na din po yan sa diskarte I guess. Most of my friends are on the minimum wage like myself and still enjoying life, (iwasan lang ang mangutang). So I can say that regardless of your income, carry lang ang mabuhay dito sa Toronto.

Inflation is at 8% for food. Rents keep going up and renovictions on low and fixed income people are common. You need to get out of that minimum wage treadmill as the living wage in Toronto is more than $25 an hour. Go look at the rent strikes going on in the GTA, it's not pretty.

For me, a decent life is to have the basic necessities of life which are: Roof on my head, foods,etc. I earned minimum wages and as far as I know, I live a decent life,living comfortably, can still send extra money back home for emergencies without loan. It's the lifestyle that makes one feel not living comfortably I think.

@@ronniedancel1108 comfortable is relative ,it depends on individual .what is comfortable for you might not comfortable with other people. True, cost of living is rising every where I live in Florida partucarly in MIAMI my Homeowners association in my community monthly is 1,050$ nothing is included. At first I'm crying out loud why is so expensive when I start asking my friends that lives in neighboring town Aventura their homeowners association is way more costly. Nowadays nothing comes cheap. You always get what you pay for, it's the same with the salary you get pay base on your credentials you want better salary upgrade yourself which is the best investment.

New Filipinos in Toronto I would suggest move to a different city/town or province with a lower cost of living. If not possible with your situation get into construction. Start at $40+/hr and go visit Philippines in the winter months. I’ve been noticing Filipinos in our job sites and they are really happy compared to the Canadians. All they talk about is going to the Philippines right before Christmas and coming back to Canada around February/March.

Tax really works here in Canada. Health care maayos and free. Decent pa rin and buhay dito and mabibili mo ang gusto mo na usually hindi mo mabili sa Pilipinas. Mabubuting balita lang ang nakakarating sa Pilipinas hindi nila alam ang mataas na cost of living dito and mahirap makahanap ng work dipende sa background mo. Best option makapasok ng Government pero mahirap dahil sa dami ng immigrant dito. I have been living here since 2017 and I have worked in the banking industry so far pinaka malaki ang hotel industry front desk sa mga naging work ko every year may increase and almost $30. Still trying to enter the government sector.

Hello Ms. Ina! Iniisip ko na lang kahit malaki ang tax dito, libre naman ang school, school bus at Health, May child benefits pa. Malaking kabawasan na din sa mga iniisip nating gastos.

Mahirap magipon sa abroad kung theyre paying their house or apartment, utilities etc. mas madali sa ofw na libre tirahan sa ibang bansa ang makaipon.

kaya madaming naha-hype na mga taga pilipinas dahil sa mga ganitong video. ang totoo kapos na kapos yan kapag binanggit mga bayarin. upa palang sa bahay kulang na yung kalahating buwang sahod. dagdag mo pa yung mga pagkain, pamasahe, internet bills. kaya madaming nagdodouble job kasi hindi kaya yung gastos kapag isang trabaho lang. kaya sana tama na ang mga ganitong pangha hype for the views kasi kawawa yung mga napapaniwala tapos pupunta dito, nagbenta ng bahay, lupa, kalabaw, nangutang, etc..

Salamat po sa panonood. 😊 Una po, ano ang hype diyan kung sinabi ko lang ang laman ng mga payslip? Sinabi ko po bang dapat ibenta ng mga Pilipino ang lahat ng ari-arian nila para lumipat sa Canada? Pangalawa, hindi po talaga ini-enourage ang sinasabi ninyong pagbebenta ng bahay, kalabaw etc sa Pilipinas. Lalo na ang manguytang. Ang ina-advise po ay mag-research ng mabuti dahil hindi po madali ang buhay sa Canada! Hindi po ito para sa lahat. Marami ang successful, at meron ding mga hindi! Napagusapan ko na po yan sa ibang episodes. Ang kasinungalingan po-- ay ang 1) magsasabing LAHAT ay gaganda ang buhay sa Canada, o 2) magsasabing maghihirap lang ang LAHAT ng mga pupunta dito. Mali po yan dahil iba-iba po ang karanasan ng mga lumilipat dito. At pangatlo, yung mga may-ari po ng mga payslip na yan ay MASAYANG MASAYA dito sa Canada. Sapat po para sa kanila ang kita nila. Hindi mo naman sila kilala.

The problem is ang naririnig ng mga pinoy na nasa Pilipinas ay ang equivalent sa peso at hindi na naririnig ang mga disclaimer sa taxes, cost of living. Some of them can’t imagine ang mga gastusin dito until they’re living here. Wala pa diyan ang 13% hst we pay for our purchases. In my opinion, what Filipinos in the Philippines need to know are the actual news in Canada. For example, the housing crisis.

Mam ask lng po direct hired po ako at my job offer na po .pero pinasa po ako ng immigration consultant officer and yung work permit ko po is 1650CAD . TAMA PO BA mam .

Ang alam ko po, may babayaran po kayong work permit fee. Pero masyado po yatang malaki yang amount po na yan. Baka kasama po dyan ang bayad yan sa immigration consultant po ninyo.
