I had to laugh so hard when i saw Magnus flying up that campus board😂. That was just ridiculous. But this is why i watch your videos. They are pure motivation and in every second you can see, just how much effort went into making them. I doubt that i will ever be able to fly up the campus board like this, but i will try.💪🏼

Hi Magnus, this is my first time commenting but wanted to say how awesome I think you and your videos are and that just yesterday I had my first ever climbing session doing some bouldering at my local club here in the UK. It was amazing but scary as hell to begin with as I’m 40 years old, have a number of physical issues with my back, knees and wrists and I really don’t like heights but I managed quite a lot of the lowest 2 climbs which was so cool. I’ll definitely be going again so thanks for the inspiration man, much love 🤛🏻

@@Nick-B78 Really happy that you fight your injuries/fears by climbing. Keep doing it and you will gain a huge benefit. Remember to listen to your body, always do a good warm up session and enjoy climbing :)

Awesome! Keep it up! I started a little over a year ago. I will be 41 in a couple weeks. I don't boulder much because I can't handle the impact coming down. I do also have some injuries from the past (work, auto accident, lifting) and an auto immune disease. I force myself to do it. It is great therapy for me. I recently suffered a wrist injury that is better but still there. It was actually great for my climbing. I realized several things 1. how much I was over gripping everything 2. I was using my arms too much 3. I needed much better foot work 4. to use my legs more 5. better route finding 6. stay closer to the wall. Basically it made me really change a lot with my technique in many areas. My climbing got so much better and helps me out with higher grades. I made most of my progress while injured. I would recommend trying to really focus on perfecting your technique more than upping your climbing grade. That will come easier when you lock in your technique. Stick with it.

dp Amok Thanks. I’ve wanted to try it years but honestly only really got inspired enough to do it from watching Magnus. He’s clearly an extremely talented and elite level climber but still appears to be completely down to earth (pardon the pun) and genuinely funny

Jim Weck II I know what you mean. I pick up the basic fundamentals of things like this quite quickly and just in the first hour of trying it, I could see why things like staying close to the wall are important for maintaining good balance while not tiring yourself out. The thing I noticed I was doing though was moving between holds too quickly and explosively which caused unnecessary movements and momentum rather than staying in control and not wasting effort. None of my issues are too serious but having a dodgy back for as many years as I have has caused me to ‘learn’ ways of protecting myself while doing physical things like sport and work. I’ve spent some time doing physiotherapy and Pilates over the last 6 months or so though and things have gotten a lot better. Anyway, I’ll certainly be climbing again that’s for sure. I just need to make sure I don’t over do it 😊

I think Magnus is the strongest climber I have seen in terms of raw power to weight ratio. It's even more impressive considering he weighs around 72kg which isn't exactly light for a climber.

I'm only 40 minutes in and I already don't know what my favorite part is. Magnus donning a wig to look like his sister, the effort to find a food that the other team would hate to eat, Emil at 26:14 going from "nyum nyum nyum nyum" to guttural noises that would terrify any wild beast to its core, Eric just completely obliterating the campus board despite only thinking he was going to do one :), Emil just jumping up the boulder problems blindfolded as if he grew up climbing them, or the X-files theme being used as a censor. This is a long video, but I'm so glad you kept every second of it.

Great video! This is rapidly becoming my favourite youtube channel, yet i only discovered it last week :) I'm new to climbing and bouldering. Started with some occasional bouldering last year, had my first top-rope experience a few weeks ago. I will start an official beginners course soon, so i'm allowed to belay other people aswell... I love how much fun Magnus is having being a youtuber, and he doesn't let it distract him from being a ridiculously stronger climber. If you people don't know, Boulder Bobat and Eric Karlsson would be some of the best climbers at any non-professional gym in the world. And Magnus and Hannah wipe the floor with them. Insane!!
