Catania also is a greek name "Katane"; during Easter in "Magna Grecia " they make "Colluri" (Koulouri) but it's like Tsoureki

3:38 In Eastern Sicily (Catania, Taormina, Messina and Syracuse) they are male, while in Western Sicily (Palermo, Trapani and Agrigento) the "arancini" are female ("arancine" instead of "arancini") I'm very happy that you have visited my region 🇮🇹❤🇬🇷

This is so cool, I'm from Taranto which used to be the capital of the whole Magna Grecia itself, unfortunately greek is not spoken anymore there, even if we still use some greek word and in our dialect some grammatical structures are quite similar to greek

There are some towns in Calabria and in Apulia where Greek is still spoken. Of course after centuries has been influenced by many italian words and it evolved separetedly from the Greek spoken in Greece but it's still very understandable from greek speaking people.

Η λέξη "Κατάνια" είναι ιταλική και κατά βάση οι ξένες λέξεις δεν κλίνονται στα ελληνικά. Οπότε σε όλες τις πτώσεις μένει ίδια. Αν και η αλήθεια είναι ότι δεν θα ήταν και ιδιαίτερα λάθος αν έλεγε "της Κατάνιας".

Do you have a dna sample handy from an ancient greek? You say they are decendant of ancient greeks from magna grecia even though they cant say a word in ancient greek or latin if their life depented on it.Instead they speak a 50% of both Modern italian and Modern greek in every sentence... Lets be serius for a moment 1st stage- Denial.....
