Actually whenever you get hit with purpleblight just sheath your weapon and do a wiredash forwards. It will cure you of the blight and it will leave a purple flame where you were standing before. If Magnamalo comes into contact with that flame it will blow up and knock him over.

Some silkbind moves with weapons drawn can also do it too; I noticed in Cantaperme's hunt against Magnamalo, the Longsword move 'Soaring Kick' can also leave the purple flame too. (It's around the 9:30 mark of his hunt.) I guess 'any' silkbind moves that leaps you towards a direction can do it. Hope this helped you.

Also important to notice that wirefall doesn't get rid of this debuff. You can also roll 3 times but it won't leave the flame

Eh, I'm not losing sleep over not beating Magnamalo. The fight in the demo is nothing like how the fight will be in the game, guaranteed. Because in the game we'll actually have, yknow... gear, with skills, no 15 minute time limit, and a better grasp of game mechanics due to a smother learning curve. I know why Capcom did this, but I don't like that they did this. It feels cheap and is not really representative of what the fight will be like in game.

@@LoadedEmu97 I do understand everything you said and taken your points into consideration regarding time limit, demo gear, no skills and buffed manga but for me as a veteran hunter personally i refuse to take it that demo Magnamalo is only designed for speedrunners. If they can do it in 7 minutes then so can i even if it takes me double the time 14 minutes. Even if this fight won't be the same as in full game this is still a challenge.

A couple of things that are very important for this fight. Use the wirebug fall zl+b after getting hit. Its a 'get out of jail for free' card When you have hellfire blight on you just wiredash with your weapon sheathed no need for deodorant. Theres a pretty quick route to collect all the attack up spiri-birds that i used in all my attempts, on that route i always got a stinkmink and the mount spider as well. Oh and a nitrotoad too. Then use the stinkmink on myself and run past rathian to go start fighting and she'll run after you like with a challenger mantle. Also you can wirebug fall out of the juggling attacks which is huuuuuge. You could have prevented all the deaths with that pin.

The "pin bite" move can be partially avoided by using wirefall while in the air after getting hit by the launcher. Let's you avoid the follow-up.

Rolling a couple times also removes his debuff He fakes falling over sometimes and does a claw swipe while getting up again After getting up he does the roar followed by a bodyslam that was shown in the video, it can catch you off-guard because the roar looks like some sort of recovery animation but it is an attack start-up Also you can get out of his bite cinematic with a wirebug escape in the air

You know, these tips at the start of your videos, describing his moves, I love that!! I looked it up and there is no wiki anywhere describing moves for a monster. While I can see Rathian's moves from a mile away, I keep dying to Mizutsune because I still can't see its moves, especially to try to learn when to do a big SAED or max combo. If you can do some mini videos montages of each monsters' moves, I think you would hit pretty popular on YT! :)

You can escape pins with a wirefall. Just use it when you are at the peak after he throws you with the pin, and you'll avoid the followup explosion that carts you.

I prefer to use a wire bug to get the hellfire off. Makes a mine that way and since the timer is so short its more damage and i dont have to search my Inv for deoderent. But Dang #2 changed my hunt. So hes like nergi kinda. Thanks
