i previously mained bow in old games, and i picked up lance as a sidemain in world (which became my fatty main) and then mained it in rise after being further disappointed with the bow. its very fun in rise but it needs the buffs. for LONGSWORD to have better counters than lance, and be more defensively safe than lance is ridiculous. i hope weapons get their much needed buffs and nerfs respectively.

Right at the start: "Please don't crash" I totally feel this on such a level. Trying to play the PC Demo is one of the most painful experiences ever. I really hope that when the actual game comes out in a couple days, we don't experience the amount of crashes we've been experiencing on the demo hahah

@@thewrathofgog6749 I've seen a lot of other people talking about having issues with crashing, but I can talk out of my experience: Each time I try to play the demo, it crashes during the "loading save data", it crashes right before the main menu and it crashes when starting the quest after picking out my weapon. So I usually have to launch the demo about 3 or 4 times until I can get a quest running. Not only that, but I can't play two quests back to back, because the demo also crashes after finishing the quest. I don't know what the reasons for these crashes are, and I tried a lot of fixes and none work, it's really stressful hahah

@@thewrathofgog6749 There is also some weird vram issue going on that causes the textures and character models to not load in when starting up the game. I don't think as many players are experiencing that issue compared to the crashing but it still really sucks. Hopefully that too will get fixed.

I hope the opposite, the meta lance is the weird wirebug striker style move, its super aggressive, I want more stuff to reinforce the guard playstyle, maybe make anchor damage boost scale off knockback blocked but ignoring the guard levels (as it stands currently, you get less of a boost from the same attack if you run guard skill) so lance builds will maybe actually have guard in them again? Even if you guard lance you don't want that skill which is kinda weird. Guard lance still a lot of fun though, but it's in a weird place with builds and such.

Yes you can gaurd while side, foward, or back hopping. Lance is slick like that lol

R2 + Triangle + direction. You can finish it with a shield bash by pressing Triangle at the end or with a lunging poke by pressing Circle. I really like to use the lunging poke a a medium-range gap closer and the shield bash is nice when repositioning at close range.

Heh. I just beat magna in the full tame using that exact equipment, first try. It’s not the best because it apparently doesn’t take any damage from fire, which I didn’t know until after the hunt because I try to avoid learning about these things before playing. Magnamalo isn’t hard once you realize that it’s basically Zinogre… except less interesting and with an even cringier anime/fan art OC/villain Sue visual design.

They went from easily the best version of lance in world to one of the worst in rise. It's why I quit after less than 30 hours and am back in world and over 6 thousand hours and going strong in PC. When you use one weapon only its infuriating to see this gimmick trash
