Never saw anything that could make the 2600 seem like a graphic powerhouse but the Odyssey 2 seems to fill that role which is weird because it debut'd after the 2600 .

​@@chinablue1699I know! I remember the stupid plastic overlays you'd have to tape to your TV screen. And no game cartridges either. Just naked expansion cards that were numbered.

Still have mine, been in storage since '90, with about 15 Cartridge's. I'd probably need to do some contact cleaning on it, though it still looks in close to pristine condition. It also had an unusual TV switch hookup.

I have a box full of these games but no console. It got sold at a garage sale by my mom 30 years ago. She didn't find the games thank goodness! With bowling, you can use the joystick to make the ball curve a little in its trajectory. And with games like Attack of the Time Lord, if you had the voice plug in, the game would speak to you. I love that the bird pooped on the guy in Clay Pigeon.

I remember in Computer Golf if you make a bad shot, your player will bang the ground with the club! 😄 Also, in Attack of the Timelord he taunts you with an actual digitized voice... provided you buy some sort of hardware add-on.

I still have mine , unfortunately I'm missing the switch that switches from TV to game that hooked to the back of the TV. I also need a the plug that plugs into the wall and the game. Plus I would have to get an old TV to play it on.

It's awesome that you still have your Magnavox Odyssey 2! Finding those missing parts can be a bit of a challenge, but it's definitely worth it to experience the nostalgia on an old TV. Happy gaming!

But the smell of the boxes they came it! It was wonderful. Every once in awhile something will have the same smell and I have a flash back to the Odyssey 2. I have Quest for the Rings and Conquest of the World.

Now that I looked into it, the Atari 2600 display hardware is a lot more flexible than the Odyssey 2

This console is bad the Atari 5200 7800 Intellivision and even colecovision put it to shame I give it a 2 just for its graphics for the year it came out initially ports and most games just seem less fun and engaging than the systems of the time
