8:12 That is called a Painter’s Helper. It’s a multipurpose tool painters use. Also, the S L 43 bullet is a .50 cal bullet. The S L stands for St. Louis Arsenal where it was made and the 43 means it was made in 1943. Those are Government stampings and it was made for .50 Cal. machine gun.
@alanhinkel420

It didn’t look big enough to be a 50 Cal. Unless 50 BMG is bigger. They made 30 Caliber as well. So cool that it’s 80 years old. I wonder if it would still fire? 🫣 Edit: After watching again, you definitely have a 50 Cal. That’s so cool. Imagine finding a Barrett 50 cal rifle. 😂 That would be the motherload. 😂

I’m pretty sure someone has probably answered it already but that is a 50 caliber bullet that was manufactured in St. Louis in 1943. It was manufactured for the browning 50 caliber that is still used by the Army today on most tracked vehicles. It was probably someone’s war souvenir that strangely ended up in the river.

9:30 is sometimes called a come along to attach and tighten chains around things kind of like a ratchet strap does, 32:07 is a dust mop head for sweeping wide swaths of floor, you might have seen them using one in a supermarket or walmart floor, it swivels like that so you can twist the handle and it steers the broom head 31:40 is a chisel, 33:20 while there were beer cans in that shape there were also break fluid cans of that type as well. Though its a long shot, the two rods connected with the red caps at 12:00 could possibly be awning/banner rollers or something like that.

Since you were able to bring it up using your magnet the tip must be made of some type of steel and this probably means it is an armored piercing round. Since the bullet is still in and it has not been fired the round still could be fire able. Most military rounds are sealed so water cannot penetrate it ruining the gun powder. Just don’t throw it around or throw something on top of it hitting the primer and setting it off.

Thanks for coming to Milwaukee again! That river goes pretty far north out of the city with probably some good shore magnet fishing. There are some parks along that river. I metal detected that river shoreline for years & had lots of good luck - old money. old relics. even Civil War items from troop camping in those same parks. They would catch a train to the war when they had gathered enough Soldiers.

Dunkin’ does not make their donuts in house. I know I worked as a baker for them. They are sometimes 6to9 months old frozen. Most are frozen for a short period. They thaw them out , yes they just thaw them out decorate them and put them out to sell. Only bagels get baked and croissants. I was so disappointed when I found out. 🤔😮‍💨😭. So yea sometimes they are not covered in the box and they then taste like a week old. One thing though that’s a plus . What they don’t sell that day they through away. But won’t give to homeless. So sad
