Magnetic Liner and Lashes | Do They Work? Pros and Cons and Sigma Eye Primers

I am 65 years old. I was just informed about magnetic eyelashes yesterday. I thought I was up to date with most cosmetics, but noooo, all the sudden here comes magnetics eyelashes. A friend and I went to several stores, all of which sold the lashes, but no salesperson really knew about them. Our last stop was Ulta. Since no salesperson offered to help us I asked a stranger next to us if she knew anything about magnetic lashes. I don't know her name, but she should be training all the salespeople in stores that sell any brand of these. She recommended to stay away from magnetic lashes that are intended to adhere to each other. Because of her recommendation, I bought lashes by Eylure. I just finished watching Lisa J's video, which I found to be A+. I am about to try out the lashes following Lisa's tips and instructions.

Hey Lisa! Do you know that you can put a layer of magnetic eyeliner on regular (non-magnetic) lashes, then add the liner to your eyelid and the lashes will stick to the liner on your eyelid without the little magnets. You'll need to practice a tiny bit but it works great. No need to buy the expensive magnetic eyelashes, just the glue. They remove easily too.

I know this is an older video but I wanted to thank you for the information. I was going to get lash extensions but in your lash extension video posted 2 yrs ago you mentioned that if you do not intend on getting them filled every 2-3 weeks, Don't do it, as lashes get damaged until they get grow out again. Great advice. Instead I've decided to do magnetic lashes. It's exactly what I need for an upcoming cruise. Thanks!

Wow, thank you for sharing that info. That should be noted immediately in tutorials and on the packaging if it is not already. Great advice. A little off subject but when getting X-rays at the hospital or dental office, always ask for a thyroid guard. X-rays have been known to damage the thyroid and very very rarely does a tech ask if you need a guard. So easy and can save you from a LIFETIME OF MEDICATION. OFF SUBJECT BUT THOUGHT ID PUT THAT INFO OUT THERE!! 👍👏❤️😉

I'm allergic to lash glues so magnetic lashes are my only option. I have mastered the 2 part Ardel lashes but just received my first magnetic liner and WOW it's great! So easy. Will be buying several new styles of lashes soon. Thanks for the review 👍👍

I’m so glad you spoke about eye sensitivity. I have never used fake lashes because of the glue. But over the las few years I have had trouble with my mascara irritating my eye. I have very dry eyes. And then my mascara was irritating my eye even more. I am hopeful that if I can eliminate the use of mascara on the top lashes I will do a lot better.

My lashes came yesterday so this morning was the day to use them. I wear contacts and have never worn false lashes before because I was always afraid I would get glue on my contacts. I applied this special liner, let it dry and was amazed how these lashes stick! I won’t be wearing them everyday but this is so great! RawBeautyKristi reviewed this a little while ago and said that you can use regular liner first, then apply the magnetic liner where the magnets stick. This way you use less of the expensive magnetic liner and it still works. Worth a shot!

Yes, I did hear that. It also helps if you aren't great with the liquid liner. use you normal liner first then the magnetic liner.

Hi Lisa - I LOVE MoxieLash! I use the remover swabs, and it really helps to completely remove the liner before you go to bed. I am glad you mentioned your sensitive eyes because in the last few years, my eyes developed sensitive to both pencil n liquid liners, which never used to bother me. Thank you, Lisa. I ordered the magnetic liner and lashes ($85!!!) the same day I watched this video. They arrived in two days. I have never worn false lashes, nor have I ever used liquid eyeliner. I tried each one time and failed miserably. I admit that when I applied the magnetic eyeliner, it was kind of messy. But the lashes went on very easily with just a minor position adjustment to the left lashes. They hid the messy eyeliner perfectly. I have one eye that does not open as wide as the other eye, so I used an eyelash curler on those lashes. Perfect! Amazing! I love them and highly recommend them. Do you know if the drugstore magnetic lashes will work with this magnetic eyeliner? At $35 these magnetic lashes are too expensive for every day use, even though they can be used multiple times. BTW, this is the first time I’ve posted a comment on KZbin. I’m so glad I found you; I now watch all your videos.

Use an old (clean) lash mascara wand to brush your natural lashes a little if you accidentally get magnetic liner on them. Then, after the magnetic liner is dry & you put the magnetic lashes on, you won't have an issue with liner on your natural lashes. You can also wash & soak a toothbrush in bleach, rinse & dry thoroughly. It works great to brush your lashes to get liner off them & fluff them a little. The toothbrush also works great to brush your eyebrows and blend liner that you've applied to fill in & extend thin eyebrow hairline.

Wonderful review Lisa! You are so great at doing reviews on products and fully explaining to pros and cons of the product. My concern, for me personally is that my hands are very shaky because of my illness, and I wonder if I'll be able to get the liner on. I usually use a pencil liner so I can smudge it out. Magnetic lashes are easy to apply. Although maybe not the best quality I have purchased them at Dollar stores and they stay put. I never had long thick lashes when I was younger and never bothered learning to apply liner and lashes. The magnetic lashes are great for looking your best.

Hi Lisa, great video. I was hoping you would show what type of makeup remover you would use to take off the liner. And I was wondering about color selection. I’m a redhead with blond lashes, I have always used a brown-black mascara but now that I’m older I need to lighten them so there is less contrast with my lighter red hair and fair skin. But your video was awesome and I will check the product out myself. Thank you.

Hi Lisa, you can actually use your normal liner first, then use the magnetic liner over it. That way you use a lot less of the magnetic liner since it is expensive. I have seen videos on this on KZbin. Check for them. 😁 💜

Have you tried any of the lash serums. I used them during chemo and didn’t loss my lashes. They work great & Walmart carries one for less than $10. Just follow directions.

Hi Lisa, use Miscella water to remove the liner at night, it comes off very easily, put a little on a qtip and go along the lash line, also make sure you clean the magnets.

I just use jojoba oil to remove it like I use to take off my waterproof mascara... this eyeliner breaks up and slides off in little clumps in a couple seconds. Very easy.

I use to use the individuals for 20yrs the long dark black and they pulled out a lot of my own lashes. Now my lashes are so short but since this virus they have grown out a lot but I love Glamnetic expensive but very worth it.

I have finally gotten around to trying eyelashes and like the idea of magnetic ones but am still not sure which are the best (it is April of 2021 now). I pretty much only trust you on these things since we have similar eyes and eyelashes, so the fact that you are OK with these is a big plus. I am still going to look into alternative brands, but only magnetic ones. I am a bit concerned about these being from animals so that is a factor. If all lashes are from animals, I won't be wearing them and will just stick to mascara. Lisa, you are a godsend.

I’ve been using Moxie Lash for a few weeks and I love them! The directions say that you can put a layer of liner on top of your lashes after you adhere them. Just an added layer of protection. Thank you for your video.

I’m so glad you did this video!!! They have been on my list to try. I too tried the magnetic lashes with a top and bottom and oh my😱! I felt like a major failure lol. I watched video after video and tried and tried and couldn’t get them to work! The classy look beautiful on you but I’m not sure they look any different than a good mascara and if you still have to apply mascara, I’m not sure it’s worth it? The sassy are dramatic and look great but like you said, I think it’s good for events not everyday. I appreciate how through you are and how you zoom in, it’s so helpful! Great idea to try the Ardels with it too! And those earrings are stunning on you 😍

What a great review! I have extensions, but I noticed the quality of my natural lash deteriorating. I love long lashes, so I may give these a try. I could never do the glue ones and as a flight attendant trying to glue on lashes before work was a pain! This looks easier!

This was my question, I must've missed removal... This sounds awful. Micellar water works good for me for makeup removal but I'm worried about this stuff smearing everywhere

I found it took 20 minutes with oily makeup remover,camellia oil,cream cleanser and finally a complexion brush loaded with remover. The rest will have to wear off over time. Not putting that stuff near my eyes again,which is sad because the lashes are great.

@@pheart2381 I agree, I had the same experience. Tried oily makeup remover, oil-free makeup remover and cream cleanser and still the liner didn't come off cleanly. I was ready to use Brillo next! 🥺And just when I thought I finally got most of it off, there were black clumps of liner flaking onto my pillow, too....the wear and tear on my natural lashes and eyelids trying to get the magnetic liner off was brutal. Never again.

Portia VL oh they would last a very long time if you are only wearing twice a week.. I got mine from everfleek.com and trust me they last a looong time.. you should really get them
