Your loop is amazing! I worked all over Europe with great reports using 5 watts not even 5 minutes after setting it up. Compliments for a GREAT product. Using it with an ICOM 705 and after tuning it correctly using only 5 watts I got S7 to S9 reports from stations 2000 and 3000 kilometers away. What is also great that by simply turning the loop you can perfectly align it towards the station you want to work. Nulling out other stations easily to improve reception of the station you want to work.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback and experience with this Magloop antenna! 😉👍 I am so happy that you like it and enjoy it. I hope to ork you one day in the future on the bands! 👋🙂 Best 73! Paul

Many thanks, Paul. Had one of your loops for a while now and love it. Loads of contacts QRP with just 5 watts with the Xiegu 5105 just from my shack! Semi disabled so hard to get out into countryside like your wonderful area where you live. 73's Charlie GM1VUT

You can also use a 4s battery with a load of large diodes in series to lower the voltage, however the diodes do heat up (when tx 100W), once the voltage drops low enough you can pull the diodes out of series. I used large square bolt down type rectifier diodes. You need to check the voltage spec of the radio and it's -+% tolerances to know what is possible or switch to LifePo4 or perhaps LTO cells. If you start to use those lipo cells in parallel you need to be cautious as one cell is always weaker than all the others. For this i would recommend an active balancer, i use the types made with inductors not the type with many capacitors as the inductor type is slightly more efficient. With the active balancer wired into the cells any stronger cells will prop up the weaker ones so that they all drop to 3V around the same time. If you let a weak cell drop below 3V and continue to use it it will die or loose a great deal of it's capacity very quickly.

I have to say, I have already built a loop like this myself and it actually worked. But my compliments, yours is really very nice and professionally built. However, I admit, I almost only do 5 watt FT8/4 QSOs or CW with my Xiegu 5105. SSB just annoys me. Best wishes, Tom

Hi Paul, Some time ago you did a demonstration of the QRM Noise Canceller/illiminator, and you showed just how good it really was. I'm hearing a great deal of noise on your portable rig, so I'm surprised that you are not using it Paul. Would you please be so kind as to explain your reason for not having it, or even a separate one with u when you're out portable please Paul,, ,? ? ? Kind Regards, Ray, M0RAY, Sittingbourne , Kent, South East England.

One more question it looks like when in band you can listen to look for station then tune for transmit. Can you listen to the entire band? If yes, is it true for all bands? And what and where is this beautiful little town?
@OM0ET2 жыл бұрын
Yes, if you tune Magloop antenna in the middle of the band you can listen within whole band only with small attenuation on the edges. For transmitting you have to tune antenna every always for the lowest SWR(best efficiency). The name of our village is Nizny Hrusov.

Hi Paul! How are thinks? I hope well. It could be very interesting a comparison between the x5105 and the new x6100 using your magnetic loop antenna and in this form to be able to determine how well transmits and receives each of them. Greetings.
