I can share some good advice I wants got about what to do when someone is missing one part of your call sign. Only repeat, “Oscar, Oscar, Oscar, Oscar.” (if they are missing the first letter, for example) Then follow by giving your entire call sign. Do not just simply keep repeating your entire callsign over and over. Give them the part that they are missing repeated first several times. Thank you for a beautiful video and a great demonstration of the equipment. I love it!

Awesome video! I want to make something like your version 4 antenna. I have just started with amateur radio and have a Tecsun PL-310ET which can receive 2300-21950 kHz. Will this 1 meter diameter loop be ok to cover all of these frequencies? What range of pF do I need? I may be able to get a few trim caps (not air dielectric type, but cheap trimmers) in parallel and get from about 13pF up to about 524pF when all are maxed out. Is that ok? Any help appreciated. Keep up the awesome videos!
@destroy_swarm2 жыл бұрын
TECSUN PL-310ET does not have CW and SSB modes, therefore it is not suitable. You need a TECSUN PL-330 receiver, it has the necessary modulation modes.
@N2RRAny5 жыл бұрын
- Nice! Keep in mind you may have a slight null off of some mag loops so try rotating it next time and see if it’s directional. I know for a fact there are nulls in mag loops so it’s worth the experiment. Keep in mind also that’s very good considering that size of a mag loop so efficiency is not good at all, but you made out well. I’m sure it would have great results on 20m, but nice example of how well it still can perform on 40m. Thanks for the vid. 73

Nice. I like the antenna and the radio. (I've got a X5105 myself; nice radio.) Wish I could say there was as much activity here as you obviously have around you there. Guess I'll build a mag loop this winter ;-)

@@OM0ET I'm a gringo. Live in Ohio. 40m is pretty quiet most of the day. 80/75m is not at all as crowded as it was in the 70s. Hardly anyone is on the air any more. We're all watching KZbin ;-)

@@haramanggapuja Hmm tht's strange! Here in Europe is 40M one of the most active band 24/7. 80M is during the day mostly empty instead of a few powerfull local stations, but at the evening begins a big mess there. Worst crowded time is around 17 - 18:00 UTC. I feel like whole Euro-Asia is there in the same time :-D is hardly to find some clear frequency without splatters or other QRM...
