It is not appropriate to market these small magnets as "toys for young children", but it seems wrong to forbid everybody from owning them. Perhaps too many parents saw these simply as "toys" and gave them to their own young kids as a toy, not realizing the extra danger posed by the strong magnets. But to me, this does not justify a total ban on these little magnets for everyone. That is not at all fair. All of society should not be denied a product because of a few irresponsible parents. On the other hand, if you are the owner of some of these tiny magnetic spheres, and you lose some, and then a young child finds them and swallows them and gets internal injuries, you might be liable for that child's injuries. That would be a decision for a courtroom to make.

Someone told me eating 1 magnet will not harm you, but eating 2 of them seperately is potentially lethal when not operated, as the magnets may attract each other with vital body tissue in-between. The magnets will punch holes when they stay there, causing dangerous internal bleeding and food getting in parts of your body where it should not be. Yummy hamburger by the way.
