Who ended up killing Kosem. Ibrahim’s concubine because Kosem wanted to still be Queen mother after Ibrahim was declared unfit. Murad was the last best Sultan. I felt bad for Kasim and Elenur. They really loved each other. I dont understand why they dont allow the Sehzades to have their own harem or even let them go on their sanjak. Apart from removing the fraticide rule, every other rule became worse. Locking up a prince in Kafes is such a terrible idea, they end up having lack of experience as a Sultan and have psychological issues which is what happened to Mustafa and future Sultans.

She came as a slave, she got so high up and had so much power that people called her a witch. Kosem had everything served on a plate because she was brought as a gift to Ahmed and Kosem’s regency was in corrupted time of OE, where everyone was taking a side of power instead a side of loyalty to sultan . Hurrem had power when Ottoman Empire was the bigger than ever. and she ruled the sultan which was her husband and not a child because she died too early to become valide sultana . Conclusion, Hurrem had so much more power then Kosem only as sultan’s wife imagine her as valide sultana, we probably wouldnt exist today.

As much as I liked Kosems rise and her having power, I really think it would have been best if she would have stayed more in the background like now and leave Farya alone. Murad is doing a good job so far and why not let him have his lovely Farya and just guide Murad where it's needed? I like Kosem but I know from previews it's going to get ugly, she really starts to give off those villainous vibes from this point. As much as she could try to say it's for the empire, power is becoming the biggest motive behind it. Except with Kasim now, she really is trying to protect him, The shock of Mehmeds death is still very much alive in her.

Not at all like in the series. During Murad´s time as far as we know she had a good relationship with all his sultanas. It is true that she held power over the Harem and had mostly full control. Such a position does come with enforcing very harsh rules if need be. But its different from the series. And I dont know if it makes it better or worse :) Different times, different culture. Real Kosem achieved what she did because she could adapt and do what she had to do in her environment. In her prime she was beloved by a lot of people around her. But it was a very harsh culture / environment. People in power were expected to kill as part of justice / religious codes / Harem codes. Murad did kill his brothers and she had to deal with it. And that´s the world she was in. Abslutely not a fairy tale. I think its going to be very hard for any of us to even imagine what it takes to live in a world where you have to accept one of your kids will kill another.
