Kösem Sultan, who learns that the ulama will secretly gather, goes to this meeting with Bayezid. Valide Kösem Sultan (Nurgül Yeşilçay) gives a great lesson to Şehzade Bayezid.

Magnificent Century: Kosem is about Kosem Sultan married to the "State-i Aliyya", when her six-year-old son ascended to the throne, having the position of "Regent of the Sultanate", as well as the power gained by defeating all her enemies and becoming a sultan who brought the world to her knees with her regency. The power of Kosem Sultan became the greatest authority of the state through Murad IV, will be shaken by the iron fist of Sultan Murad, who wants to seize power. With his determination and might, Murad will give the Ottoman Empire its strongest period after Suleiman the Magnificent. The defeats of the state inside and outside will close the era.

@@ryara4758 I can’t tell exactly, but at first he really hated her. Somehow he started to like her, you can especially see that when he saves Kösem by the assassination in her foundation. Then he also cries her name in his sleep, because he’s worried about her. Additionally, when Gülbahar Sultana should be married off to Kemankes, he and Kösem look at each other very sadly, so it’s pretty save

I really wish they showed more of Mustafa in this show. He was so underrated. Even in history during his 2nd reign, he was a bit active, made visits to navy docks and was known as the saint sultan. He did have wisdom, but pity his mental condition didn’t allow him to rule properly.

Sultan Murad really has an odd way of dealing with family affairs. He basically let's both Gevherhan and Atike speak for about 1,5 minutes before sending them 'to their rooms' like little kids. Silathar doesn't get a chance to explain or defend himself at all...no one is properly questioned, to find out the truth about the situation. Not Fahrya either, even though he knows, she's bff with Atike for quite some time now. The lack of empathy or caring here is really appalling. Does he really think, his closest companion and his sweet, meek sister Gevherhan, who wouldn't hurt a fly, would ever act so mean and dishonorable towards Atike? And the way Kosem acts here is appalling as well. Shame on her. How can you treat your own daughter like that?

Something seems to snap or change in Murad after he finds the old woman has been murdered. After that Murad only seems interested in making his subjects fear him rather than trying to get them to love him. It could also be that Murad is starting to lose his battle between Murad the man with a conscience & Murad the Sultan. I suspect this could also be starting to infect his dealings with his loved ones; as previously he tried to understand them, to make the right decisions about them & to show them mercy where he could.

Why does it never come up that Silahtar never hit on, made promises to or led Atike on in any way??!!??
