Probably Diaz, but I thought everyone played well today. Szob didn't have much end product he did do alot of running around, closing down and work off the ball. Jones replacing him was the right call though. Bournemouth had alot of control of the game.

Arne must be aware that there are no easy wins in this league. Forest used the low block to stop our attacks from dominating the match. Bournemouth were more open to attack our defence and indeed nearly took the lead. There is still more work to be done on clinical finishing by our forwards.

Slot has already mentioned szboszlai a few weeks ago about what he does great and what he likes but he also mentioned what a number 10 should be doing assists and goals that needs to improve. I really like Slot says what I think workrate isn't going to be enough long term. Macalister and gravenberch manage to play forward balls in behind better than szboszlai who is further forward. Good performance from the team, however let's not get into the starting slow habit like last season.

For me, game state has a lot to do with it. All the best Bournemouth moments come at 3-0 down when Liverpool have naturally taken their foot off the gas.
@NaimAhmed-l7wАй бұрын
@@davidlynchlfc But they shouldn't take thier foot off the gas, because at 3-0 up the manager will make subs for obvious reasons, but the concentration has to remain, because if the opposition score with 15 or mins left and with Slot having made his subs it gives the opposition a massive lift and they go up a gear and it makes it very difficult for the LFC subs to then find any rhythm and keep control of the game, not at all elite level professionalism from the players to be taking thier foot off the gas. Bad habits these are and it becomes very costly come end of the season. These players was allowed to get away with a lot of bad habits under Klopp and Slot needs to make damn sure that those days are over and its time to show why you are regarded as elite level professional footballers.
@davidlynchlfcАй бұрын
@@NaimAhmed-l7w I disagree in that I think they do need to take their foot off the gas more at times. The injuries of the last two seasons have a lot to do with playing at 100mph for 95 minutes over and over again.
@Canada.2020Ай бұрын
David, just want to get your view on some areas. 1. Do you think that we seem to start games in quite a sluggish manner. This seems to be a constant. Should something be done to change this. 2. It appears that we seem to be good in one half, and then fall off. There doesn't seem to be a consistent, persistent good play in both halves. Why is this so and could this prove to be a problem against better opponents. 3. The defence today seem to falter and the opponent was able to get through so many times. Against a better team, wouldn't this be a big problem. 4. The number of goals we are netting each game appears to be 2-3, and misses or failing at the finishing seems to be a common trait. Do you see this to be a problem if goal difference is going to count at the end. Questions are not just for today's game, but an observation of all the games played so far.

Cheer up. What happened to 4?
@michaelbarmby9105Ай бұрын
Do your same analysis against Klopp for the last 18 months. The difference, no 1 nil down after a few minutes. No chasing games leading to more injuries? Controlling the game so not headless chickens = less injuries? How many injuries would a Klopp team have picked up by now? Points for you to think about. I am still hoping Slot will turn into the new Bob Paisley, only time will tell.
@davidlynchlfcАй бұрын
Hi mate. On 1) I agree, they're a little slow out of the blocks. In fairness, it hasn't really resulted in them giving up many chances in that period at all, unlike under Klopp, but they could do with looking a little sharper going forward from the off. 2) I think the 'falling off' is more to do with game state. You don't need to be throwing everything into it when you're 3-0 up and the game is won. I know people want 6-0 wins but the points are worth the same and you need to avoid injuries. 3) This also feeds into it. Bournemouth basically didn't have a chance until it went to 3-0, and you can expect a natural drop-off at that point, the same happened in the Man Utd game. 4) And on this, I guess being more clinical is something you aim for but only two teams have scored more this season. You're always going to miss chances!
@vladtepes97Ай бұрын
i disagree with the video title. the back 4 and kelleher won it. diaz's goals were created by konate's long pass and alexander-arnold's long run. even nunez's goal started at the back. i'm concerned about how many of liverpool's goals have been scored on counter-attacks and long passes from the back. those were the signature goals under klopp. liverpool haven't scored many by moving through the opposition. the midfielders played very well, but the reds needs to be able to score more frequently through possession and clean set-ups.
@Football-xk2jdАй бұрын
True a lot is thru transitional plays and when there isn’t any space like Nottingham forest where they sit back we don’t have a clue. If slot manages to fix this part of our game then we’ll be unstoppable
@AP-qd9ilАй бұрын
I think when you watch it back, you will find that Ryan was very sloppy in possession on a number of occasions he gave away too many times that led to dangerous positions for Bournemouth. He didn’t play badly but he wasn’t as good as other games and I think he wasn’t as good as you said, but I think you might need to watch it again to see that.

Gravenberch was my MOTM I guess but pretty much everyone did a number. Spot ON about Sobbo. It seems that a few of his passes go a little astray when they didn't need to but his workrate?... WOW! Was it really ? Our no.8 can certainly be replaced. Let’s not forget how many shots they had to. Let’s not get carried away. And with Mane, Bobby, Salah then, this game would had been 7 up. We still screw up In decisions in opposing area. Lots to improve on.

No mention of Salah again? I didn't see the game but judging by the commentary, did he go missing again? Poor choices in the final third again? Missed chances again? Just for the fairness, what were Salah's stats? Great to see the team bounce back but it was Bournemouth. If our big players can't turn up at home to beat teams in the lower half then there must be at least some cause for concern.

Think you're out of order regards comments about Darwin! He is part of the squad, had to earn his place. Took with both hands. You will see in a couple of games Chielsa will replace Mo. It's a Manager utilising the squad. No one is immune. Jota did well 3 games. Now they know how to keep place.
@davidlynchlfcАй бұрын
Not being out of order, just making the point that if you don't start until the sixth game of the season, it's fair for people to think the manager might fancy the alternative more. He played well against Bournemouth though and, as I say, may well have put himself in the mix to be the starter now.
@nonnayoubuzinnes1669Ай бұрын
They aren't convincing me at home at all. The fans aren't liking this slow build up play and we are conceding too many chances. Against good sides I fear we'll get caught out. I attend the home games and regulars aren't convinced, a lot shouting "too slow" around me, and "we look poor defensively", heard that from most people around me. Look how many chances they had? Slot has been gifted an easy run of fixtures, I do fear for us after Wolves. Diaz been on fire though, and great goal by Nunez.
@davidlynchlfcАй бұрын
Amazed that people think Liverpool look poor defensively. They've got the best defensive record in the league and second best xG against - and most of the xG against has been conceded once they were 3-0 up vs Bournemouth and Man Utd.
@nonnayoubuzinnes1669Ай бұрын
@@davidlynchlfc We did look vulnerable at times though David. They had the disallowed goal, 6 shots on target, 9 off target, 9 corners to our 3. This was Bournemouth. A lot of regulars I sit with were moaning, Mo was getting howled at as well for not passing. Something just seems a bit off with the atmosphere. Leaving the ground a few lads I walked past were saying we looked poor defensively. Let's see how we do with the next 4 home league games which are Chelsea, Brighton, Villa and MC. If we win all of them then it should silence any doubts.
