Same for me. It was already an amazing song and one of my fave of all time before I had to go to Antarctica for 2 months to shoot a documentary. One day while traveling with the ship through one of the most beautiful spots in the whole planet I went out to the ship's bow with my headphones 🎧 on and Magnificent playing. I believe no single piece of music has the same power this one has to bring back one of the most beautiful memories I have... To me the little girl in the song is Antarctica, our ground zero for studying the planet. A place where human life is dedicated to science, ecology and peace... The world is us, the rest of the planet. A world that doesn't even know how much it needs this little girl.

I heard the studio version of this song for the first time today. I liked it. So, I listened again and liked it even more. On third listen I took note of the unique structure of the song and started loving it. Then I looked up the lyrics and now I can't stop listening. I just bought "Little Fictions" on Bandcamp. You guys are amazing.

I work in global health - in data analysis and visualization. To say this pandemic has been tough would be the understatement of the decade. Long days of work, short nights of sleep, record-high levels of anxiety and emotion, record-low levels of feelings of control and certainty. Many days I cry. Tears for the magnitude of the situation. Tears from fear in looking at frightening future predictions. Tears for the suffering of fellow souls I will never meet. Throughout all of this, I remain grateful for this experience. Grateful for my newfound appreciation of humanity and of human connection. Grateful for my teammates at work. On that front - I cannot imagine a better crew to work determinedly alongside in this pandemic response. I am daily inspired by their levels of dedication, selflessness, focus, bravery, and their ability to rise to this occasion. I’d like to request “Sad Captains” in gratitude of my team and with gratitude of all of those folks bravely addressing this pandemic on the front lines. Thank you for all you do #ElbowRooms - for inspiring smiles and feelings of calm and connectedness around this blue world during these transformative times. Stay safe my friends!
