@@ligo6868Hatce spent entire episodes flopping around like a mackerel in floods of tears and constant, raging recriminations over Ibrahim Pasha’s affair with Nigar, while he groveled for forgiveness and treated Nigar Hatun lower than chum at the bottom of the Bosphorus. Then, she swung 180° into gooey-eyed, saccharine romance with Ibrahim, he soon gets executed, and she hysterically elevates him to the Islamic equivalent of sainthood and marital perfection. Aside from her kind treatment of children, she must have been exhausting to be around.

I always stumble across people thinking that Hürrem should've killed Hatice here, but, honestly, what she actually did is a far better move. She must've realized exactly what would happen-that everyone would immediately suspect her involvement if Hatice were to die. So, instead, she thoroughly discredited Hatice and, if anything, placed her under even more constrictive monitoring to render her toothless.
