Admittedly, a major drive behind the creation of the harem was to keep any one woman (and her family) from having too much control over the sultan. So, at least one character in the show kind of needed to have a viewpoint like this, even though the show entirely undermines just how significant Hürrem's rise to power was. Still, there's a part of me that always finds it ironic that it's Hafsa since, from what little evidence we have, she seems to have _supported_ Hürrem's dominance within the harem.
