Mihrimah Chooses Bayezid's Side! "DON'T YOU RISE AGAINST ME!"

War of the Prince begins on the Magnificent Century! Bayezid gets relegated to Amasya but he controverts Suleiman's order and doesn't leave Kütahya. He declares a war against Selim and gathers soldiers. Suleiman gets shocked by his son's decision and tries to control his anger. Mihrimah faces off against her father to be able to protect Bayezid. Meanwhile, Selim waits for Suleiman's edict in a fright.
Mihrimah goes to Kütahya to convince Bayezid but she gets shocked by what she sees. She hides the truth from Suleiman as she understands that the war is fated. Bayezid advances upon Selim with his army being unaware of the betrayal awaits him. Suleiman sends back up for Selim and gets given fetwa for Bayezid's killing. The armies of the two princes meet in Konya Plains.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Bayazid never rebelled against Suleiman. He only rebelled against Selim in series and in history too. It’s sad his life ended like this.

In history Hurrem and Suleiman supported Mehmet on throne and after his death Suleiman supported Selim and Hurrem Bayazid. Mihrimah never supported one of them openly. After Hurrem died Mihrimah became Political Advisor of Suleiman taking her mother’s place. After Suleiman died she became Selim’s political advisor and had great relationship with him and his children. Selim loved his sister so much that he bestowed Valide Sultan title on Mihrimah-this has never happened in history before or after. But it’s also known fact that Mihrimah’s daughter Ayşe Hümaşah Sultan and Safiye sultana were close friends and were involved in intrigues against Nurbanu sultan for many years. Now this is interesting part. We all know in history Hurrem and Nurbanu had great respect for each other. So something must have happened after Hurrem’s death as Mihrimah’s daughter and possibly Mihrimah too were against Nurbanu, but we don’t know more facts sadly.

The show failed to explain why Mihrimah favoured Bayezid so much ( and don’t say because of Nurbanu because it’s not true) and hated Selim so much, if anything she should acted like a diplomat and control both sides or try and eliminate Nurbanu ( which is what Hurrem was trying to do) instead she did absolutely nothing Well done 👏

Historically, Hurrem wanted Bayezid on the throne and Mihrimah was very close to her mother, so I guess she favourited Bayezid for that reason.

I didn't like that Suleiman didn't make a punishment to Mihrimah when he can be very hard for his sons. He was very angry to Selim when he learned that he was drunk and hid his condition from him, Mustafa when he acted behind his back even if it was not to rebel, Bayezid for his marriage etc... But Mihrimah for having hidden a rebellion which was to eliminate Selim (and maybe Murad in the show surely in reality), which caused several deaths had nothing in consequences .... I don't want Suleiman to execute her, condemn her to poverty or separate her from her children but banishing her still seems like an appropriate punishment. What about the families of the people who were killed during this rebellion? What did he told them to appease theirs wrath when they learned that one who help the rebellion would not be punished? Same thing in real life, it may be that she financed the rebellion (I know that at that time she favored Bayezid but I don't know if she really helped the rebellion) to Bayezid which caused several deaths and who could have eliminated Selim and Murad, she has nothing. On the other hand Mahidevran is condemned to poverty by Suleiman (for different reasons in the show because they used her as a scapegoat in a rebellion when she did not participate but Suleiman does not want to know anything, historically because he blamed for Mustafa's death). Suleiman was named the legislator. But I'm not sure that concerning his family he was a good one (both the show and the history).

And it is a question of principle: a ruler must respect the rules ( unless they are absurds he can remvoe for him and his subjects) and must ensure that everyone respects them and must be punished according to the law so this applies to his children. But Suleiman didn't do it to Mihrimah

What were you thinking when you encouraged Bayazid to keep on gathering troops; Do you think that his majesty will look kindly at an attack on his appointed heir; Any attack on Selim is an attack on his majesty Mirimah. When did you forget that; Sah let go of Mirimah and shoved her to the floor. She then pulled a knife she was keeping tied to her left thigh and placed it on Mirimah's throat. Because Mihrimah is one of the most hypocritical character in the show and can be very violent physical to the people who show her faults . She inherited to her parents the annoying traits " one rule for me another rule for others people". Like come on Mihrimah you framed up Mustafa and now you you blame your brother for doing the same for his survival. If it was Bayezid who had done the opposite I'm sure she would have found excuses.
