This is one of the subplots that actually highlights the shift in nature between the two former friends and how their beliefs have begun to chafe against one another rather than truly align. Suleiman reformed the law within his empire, providing it with a codified set of laws to follow, so it would be unheard of for his grand vizier, the strongest representation of his will, to behave as though _above_ those laws entirely. It's also why I'm forever mystified that Hatice _agrees_ that this should be the case and that the laws shouldn't apply to her husband (the 🚩🚩🚩🚩!!)

100 lashes, 5 years oar duty then imprisonment for life. They knew how to punish you back then. Pity they don't have this now. Be less crime on ghe streets.

Occupation is ok but crime is not. Make it make sense.

Well, he did have pagan statues, forbidden paintings, christian-styled furniture and tons of gold from christian emissaries (and probably from many other people too)... Sure, Ibrahim being a christian was a lie, but honestly get why some might believe it.

Ibrahim's head got too big for his shoulders. he needed to die. hatice thought she had more power than she did too.

Lol all the things Ibrahim did on his own they blame Hurrem for his death ( according to the series) smh

Well, bah, this girl literally told the truth and that’s it. She didn’t even embellish it, she simply brought documents to Suleiman. Indeed, as soon as this vile Hurrem dares to open Suleiman’s eyes to the fact that his best friend has become completely outraged and began to consider himself superior to the Sultan himself, the shadow of God on earth. Yes, she still has personal motives for this, however she still told the truth

I am glad I. Am not living in a Muslim country lol worshipping should be a private affair and people who say idol worship is bad don’t know the real meaning , it’s the personification of god . And essence of god is there is in all his creations

Muslim countries literally use the religion for controlling people. If they allow freedom of religion, the foundation of their rule would cripple.
@nahiyanalamgir70563 ай бұрын
@@curio78 Islam forbids idol worshipping, and it's seen as the worst of crimes. Ottomans loved to capture European cities and remove the idols.

Idiot. This has nothing to do with religion. It's politics, pure and simple. Accusations of being a secret Christian? Who cares? It could be witchcraft, buggery, corruption, or a multitude of different accusations. The whole point was to demonstrate that no one - not even the Grand Vizier - is above the law. A lesson that Ibrahim Pasha arrogantly ignored, to his future cost.

islam and this series have nothing in common, this is a secular production making its own portraying of islam instead of how it is, also ottoman empire was bad sometimes and not fully islamic i think, it had its flaws, worshipping in a church is okay in a muslim country as long christians payed a tax( which was less then muslim taxes lol) !
@nahiyanalamgir705624 күн бұрын
@@aesthetics_ai The essence of how Islam is portrayed in this series is correct. Ottomans did contribute to spreading and forcing people to accept Islam.
