Bali Bey is their cousin from their aunt (Sultan Selim's sister) so they are family. He's pretty loyal to them and doesn't want to see them fighting with each other. But he also doesn't want them in trouble so he'll bail them out whenever possible. He knows Hatice isn't stable in the head and is not thinking straight. So when Sah Huban asked him to help her get the gold he couldn't refuse. Especially since he knew Suleiman was on the trail and would give them an earful for keeping the gold from him.
