Magnolia Flower Watercolor Painting Tutorial (Step by Step)

Today I have a new Magnolia Flower Watercolor Painting tutorial for you! ^^ In this tutorial, we're gonna go through how to paint flowers like these step by step and learn to control adding water without creating a huge mess, haha
I know this is a little bit more advanced watercolor tutorial, but I really hope you'll give it a try nevertheless! I feel like I learned so much myself just while painting this, and at the end of the day, even if you're painting doesn't turn out perfect on the first go, this will be a GREAT practice to use watercolors in a way that'll help you to create clean edges and lines on other paintings as well.

Hi if you don’t mind me asking but what colours did you use in this tutorial and Hi from Australia 🇦🇺

The flowers are painted mainly with Permanent Carmine and Cadium Red Light if I remember correctly. Then I used Sepia Brown in the brown areas and bluish grey in the shadow parts which is probably Ivory black and Prussian Blue :) For leaves I usually mix Yellow Ochre and Permanent Green Olive Also, hi back from Japan! 🥰
