Thanks so much for that test bench video on the hybrid MSH3012H! It was great to see the unit in action, way better than the mfr. would demonstrate, so thanks again for showing real world results. I live on a sailboat and am going to buy this unit, your video cemented it for me!

Great system. Didnt the first test run 33amps from shore too long and would have tripped it?

These are thermal type circuit breakers and they take time to heat up if it is just a few amps above the rated current.

This unit came in with a problem with the battery charger. The charge current was unstable. Magnum is aware that some hybrid units have this problem. In this case they sent the customer a new unit.

@@pcselectronics5423 I've just purchased one, still being shiped. How would I know if it has a problem? Would an error show up in the MR-ARC?

@@haraldkrueger7775 You simply have to monitor it for stable operation while charging. Just watch the readings on the remote. It will not fault but it may not switch to hybrid operation when needed.

Can this inverter be used on a 50amp RV? It looks like it has 1 neutral and 1 hot. A 50 amp RV has 1 neutral and 2 hots, for both in and out

Do these Hybrids last? I was told by my mechanic that the circuits overheat and they don't last.

These are very complex units stuffed with lots of electronics so cooling can be an issue. As long as proper ventilation is provided it will be fine. Also to prevent corrosion a thermostat controlled fan should be added to the compartment to prevent static air that can cause moisture to condense inside the inverter while it is cooling down. Moving air into the compartment may bring in dust so a filter is a good idea but not required as dust alone does not really bother the sealed circuits. This advise is good for all high powered inverters.
