I remember the 2018 Speed Chess Championship where Carlsen beat Wesley 27 - 9.5 in the quarter-final. Wesley has come a long way since then in speed chess.

@@hatoriterry8198 Two things: first, I hope you speak English better than you write it; second, Magnus is still the strongest chess player in the world. A couple of poor performances tell you only that he’s going through a rough patch, which has happened before. But what’s your deal, anyway? Magnus is still a beast, I still love that I’m alive to witness his reign and it’s still just amazing. Did Wesley crush him? No. In fact, Magnus had plenty of winning chances. So what’s your point? He’s out of form and yet still got to the final and still almost won the tournament last week.

Prem Srawan ya but I think the craziest person was the mysterious man that beat nigel shorts in an online match 8-0 in 2001 but some say it was fischer but whoever he was the way he played was unorthodox

@@moka1915 HAha lol, Fischer GOAT? Great player sure but he was world champion 3years and did not even defend his title vs Karpov - he chose not to - whatever reason, maybe afraid maybe not. In terms of achievents there are so many players above him in the history of chess, Kasparov Karpov Lasker Capablanca Alekhine Botvinnik Carlsen Anand to name a few

1:17:54 engine was evaulating the game as a draw for some 15 seconds, after magnus said so bad so bad it also agreed that white is better

They are playing with a 2s increment, which they get after every move. It has become the norm over the last several years (goes for over the board chess as well).

Naka fans often forget that magnus is the chess world champ, they tuned in in the xqc time, and see some online blitz and rapid games where naka is close to magnus in some games, and one event.
