@MusicForLife309 When the players did not play perfectly in a difficult endgame after a hard fought game, he kept repeating: "I can't believe he made that mistake." or similar comments. It's fine to say it once when it happens, it is dramatic. But when he keeps repeating it long after the mistake, it's just disrespectful.

@@buddibernadotteall of the commentators were doing that. They were talking as if they would’ve easily seen anything without the engine. Very annoying to listen to.

These games provided two outstanding examples of why Freestyle chess is a format that will endure. Extraordinary quality from both players. But the result, while certainly in doubt for a while, was a deserved match victory for Magnus without question.

In my opinion, he's coming across as talking down to Tania and Danny rather than a joint discussion and sharing of ideas. He doesn't always need to be the first to spot something, just because he is the GM. I felt sorry for Tania yesterday as it came across to me as if he was there to instruct her. He was talking at her rather than with her.
