6:57:36 What happens when 2 russians play each other? Does the government give one of them more mandatory adderall than the other, or just the standard ampunt of mandatory doping for both and may the "best" man win? And how do their bathroom stockfish breaks work? Can they use the same phone in the same toilet or do they have to hide multiple? Fascinating stuff Seriously, stop inviting russian athletes to ANY competition, they may not even know they are doping/cheating. Russia has told women its "birth control" pills that make their hormones all jacked up. Or that its "multivitamins" making them so hyper and energized. Also, absolutely barbaric and unacceptable nation. Lets invite north korea next! If Ian wants to play hes welcome to take his millions in prize money and move somewhere that isn't awful. Im sure Western Europe would love to have him in one of their federations.

@CrazyLinguiniLegs20 сағат бұрын
I don’t understand that, either. Somebody said the tiebreak is based on how well all your opponents did in the tournament-the better your opponents did in the tournament, the better for you in the tiebreak. But if that’s so, then why did Duda get 7th and Danya get 9th when Duda’s opponents all combined for 97 points and Danya’s opponents also all combined for 97 points? And why did Murzin get 8th, behind Duda, when all his opponents combined for 97.5?

The tie break is within the same point total tier. That is, everyone with 9.5 is tie-broke against each other
@MaxIronsThird21 сағат бұрын
what? This is a round swiss, players don't play against the same people, so the the opponents' final score dictates how good were the opponents you played against, that's how the tie-breaks makes sense.

@@MaxIronsThird so it’s by how well all your opponents did in the whole tournament (as opposed to how well they did just against you)? When I said 3.5, I meant that, for example, all Fabi’s opponents scored a total of 3.5 against him. And the same for every other guy who finished with 9.5. That’s why it didn’t make sense to me.

@@MaxIronsThird so, let me ask you this: whoever faced the opponents that did better overall, they win the tie break, yes? Duda’s opponents scored a total of 97.0 and Dubov’s scored a total of 97.5. Does Dubov still lose the tiebreak because he doesn’t get to count Hans as an opponent in the tiebreak score? So, instead of 97.5, his opponents (minus Hans) only scored 88.0?
