This was a team match so he chose to avoid Hans but in general if he doesn't have the choice to sit out than he'll definitely play. He or his team stated that if they get paired up magnus will play Hans. To support this notation magnus and hand played 3 times online in TT and magnus is leading with 2. 5-0.5 after the settlement of the lawsuit.
