Carlsen's domination is way bigger than Djokovic's. Not even close because Djoko has lost grand slams finals, whereas Carlsen seems to win every major tournament in which he participates. For the last 13 years, Carlsen has been the best chess player in the world year after year.

I like novak, but have to agree with you. I dont watch chess so dont know much about it, but tennis is played on 3 surfaces which behave completely differently and even the same surfaces vary a lot (height of bounce, speed of the court, the weather, grip on the ball, etc.) Its so hard to be the best on all surfaces, because each one favourites particular playstyle (there are players who can play only on clay and on hard courts lose every match. Djoko had to play his whole career againt second and third best player ever, which lost him some grand slams (if he didnt have to play nadal, he could have 10french opens, instead of 3). Magnus and djokovic are both goats of their sports and i think its almost impossible to compare them, magnus is much more dominant.

That game where Magnus looked sad to give away a pawn feel almost like he was setting up a bluff

I understand your feelings, when you finish commentary your tired, your holding onto moments you think you couldve done better. But feel the reassurance when everyone that hired you think you did amazing.

But Levy was really a good chess reporter in tournaments

This is the future of chess as an esport and the commentary is essensiel to reach out to all kind of audiences. And as a pretty bad chess player myself who can't see the situation in this type of games you guys made it extremely thrilling to watch. Thats not on the players, that is because of amazingly good commentators. Daniel is a god in commentary but you held your own. I loved it! Can't wait for the next one.

Thank you for your beautiful commentary with Danya!

Levy, you and Danya, where like a double act. Brilliant. There was one time when you were calling a line and you and Danya called the last move together. Hope you can find that it's brilliant. You have a good rapport, I get the feeling that you are friends. Great job you were comparable with Hess and you were so relaxed. Loved it.

Levy needs to realize that Magnus is the best and Hikaru is nowhere near Magnus. None of achivements are even remotely close to Magnus achievements.

You did great. Really liked the positive vibes both by you and the whole streaming.

I watched the entire final match live and have to say you and Danya made a fantastic combo! Thoroughly enjoyed the commentary throughout. :D

Magnus said on Norwegian television: "This is the closest I will ever get to being my absolute best." Magnus has reached his final form.

Solid job commentating. At the beginning, I was a little sad to not have Danya-Hess. But it was still great to have you. After all you are the chess KZbinr I watch the most, so I was enjoying the vibes you brought to the table. Looking forward to the next one! 🙏

Hikaru's glad he didn't played that finals. He might be the one getting 22-7. Hikaru's the real champ here escaping getting destroyed and he was able to destroy hans

Levy is the one that actually made chess mainstream
@Kay-jg6tfАй бұрын
I'm here because i enjoy watching this channel, but it's all thanks to Magnus. All you need to ask yourself is, what did chess look like before Magnus? So it's beyond unfair to leave out the King of chess and calling an IM the greatest thing that happened to chess :)
@TheArcticWitchАй бұрын
@@Kay-jg6tf its a ton of different things coming together Content creators like levy, Magnus and other great ambassador like hikaru and ofc media descriptions like queens Gambit
@Kay-jg6tfАй бұрын
@@TheArcticWitch He wrote it like levy was the main source, and if you actually paid attention to chess before levy, Hikaru, queens gambit etc than you'll know.. A long time ago Magnus was called the Mozart of chess, he did commercials, people started paying more attention to chess and so on, that was my point.
@TheArcticWitchАй бұрын
@@Kay-jg6tf that is a fair point, before chess became really popular in these recent years, it was mostly magnus. Then again it is not like chess would have gone away without magnus, and magnus also didnt cause the boom alone, otherwise we would have seen it much earlier since he has been doing his thing for years before it blew up
