@@gruen2006 But then, was just a couple days ago that he crushed Minh Le in their SCC match, where they play chess for hours together. Their prior H2H was around 2:1 over 50+ games in Magnus' favor, meaning, while Magnus was clearly the favorite to take the match, the scoreline was expected to be slightly comparable, at least. However, cometh the day, Magnus won by a scoreline of 20.5-3.5, where two of Minh's points were due to Magnus getting disconnected, and all Minh had to offer after the match was a smile of resignation, and he applauded Magnus' play on camera. The commentators kept saying how this is the best version of Magnus that we've been accustomed to. What I mean to say, is that Rapport probably only wanted to say that Magnus didn't play a good game, and there's nothing more to talk about here. I don't see the logic behind going over the board to call him all the adjectives. I fail to see how it's unfair to Magnus.

This is why Rapport is Dings’ no 2 in 2023 WCC and now again in WCC 2024. Rapport is an absolute beast. He just doesn’t play a lot of high profile tourneys. But he can sniff out utter destruction if his opponent has a momentary lapse of reason. Good game Richard.

Glad to see someone treating him the same way as he does to others.

I find Richards late entrance funny. Isn't this the type of thing Magnus usually does?

Such agressive style by Rykard felt like i was watching the magician of Riga for a sec. Also, to see magnus defeated was the cherry on top 😂

2:48 I don't think the Caro-Kann is a big surprise for Magnus. Wasn't he just giving Rapport the missing time back to make it fair? There is a video where Magnus's opponent did the same, in blitz even.

Yeah, I also thought it was just Magnus being Magnus and making it a fair match...

@@theeboseissher This is nonsense haha. Carlsen would not do such a thing against a player of Rapport's caliber

It’s a rapid game. Magnus has a tendency to take some time to think about what variation he wants to play. He did this when Wesley So played b3 against him. Magnus got destroyed here, plain and simple.
