@daedalron
@daedalron 4 ай бұрын
To be fair, running your clock down is just good sportsmanship. And Magnus has been on the receiving end of this a few times, when he was late to a game and started with a time deficit, and his opponent wasted his time to adjust the clock for an equal time for time.
@ilyaalexeev7845

One thing that I love about Magnus is the fact that he's so amazing that he can play anything he wants, chess can be boring sometimes, but the way he shakes things up with his devious moves is indeed a sight to behold, he brings life to the game and, better yet: he has fun playing

11:41 he doesn’t castle because he’s still considering playing h4, h5, h6 and using the rook on the h file. In these types of structures the king is actually quite safe on e1 or f1. Edit: I swear I made this comment before I saw that Magnus actually started attacking with his h pawn.

It's actually quite disheartening to see this unravel. I remember my grandfather was a huge chess fan, starting to play and watch WCC at around 1991. His favorite player wasn't Kasparov (it was Tal), but he actually rooted for Kramnik to dethrone Kasparov in 2000. I guess he got tired of Kasparov beating everyone and switched to the underdog. He embraced some of his play style quirks (adapted mainly d4, c4 lines). To see a man that beat a chess legend, regressing to an infant child-like behavior simply because he isn't as good at chess as he was at the beginning of 2000's is just numb. Hopefully he embraces the fact that no man can be at top of his chess shape forever, even Kasparov wore off as time went by 90's, but did he act like this? Obviously not, because the man has manners and ego in line according to his IQ. Hopefully Kramnik changes not because I want him to but because I would like my grandpa to be proud in heaven by supporting this guy when he was still alive.

Already saw Hikaru's video on this but wanted to watch it again anyway because it's hilarious. I can only imagine what Kramnik was thinking during this game.

Does this not show the complete hypocrisy over the Hans situation, Magnus arguably acted far worse. Yet now all his fans boys following the play book of Hans supporters.

@@jorddy9209 How is it hypocritical? Everyone criticized his actions. And unlike with this situation, there actually *was* reason to think Hans cheated. And unlike with this situation, Magnus eventually realized nothing was happening and stopped making accusations. Kramnik was proven wrong multiple times, and he's still throwing a tantrum. If you don't understand how these are completely different situations, then that says far more about you than about so-called "Magnus fanboys."

Just gotta appreciate my man Levy by not inviting Kramnik on his channel, because Levy is literally 300 ELO lower and it wouldn't be a fair fight.

Kramnik such a good accomplished chess player trending more and more down this crackpot insanity path you get a cheating accusation and you get a cheating accusation and you get a cheating accusation. I used to click on a lot of Kramniks games via youtube recaps I enjoyed them a lot but now I just wont for me he's tarnishing his legacy everyday. We all hate cheaters but not everyone cheats my dude

It's kind of a common sight in high-profile competitive sports and in general. Every once in a while a famous name cracks under the pressure and goes down the mental illness/conspiracy drainhole. It's absolutely disheartening to see every time.

Hey, any chance you would try a long video where you and someone else openly talk about your strategies with each other while genuinely playing to win? Basically just playing chess with your cards on the table
