@@carlcox7976 No, you are talking nonsense. Kramnik was only up 2 points in OTB, and the vast majority of games that they played were what? They were online. That's not his format of choice, nor was it the format that Kramnik's suspicions were heavy on, so like I said, your point you think you have about Kramnik's OTB victory is moot. Also, quit arguing points that I never debated. To do that once the match has already started and the score is in your favor is insane. He demanded the 3+2 control even though Jose usually plays 3+1 on those "suspicious games". And even though they were some issues, I imagine you can get a sense of a player strength after playing 28 games. @maluco30263 ай бұрын
Everything was all over the place but in the end the games cleared Jose's name which was the main intention. Playing with brand new laptops was a big misstep, although I understand Kramnik's thinking, at some point he simply needs to find someone in IT from is side to be present and clear any questions he has. Modern Operating Systems are very complex, so they should have consulted with IT people to guarantee a stable playing field instead of prioritizing everything fresh. I also understand Kramnik's frustration around time issues, as he's used to physical clocks, but he and everyone needs to understand that time syncing in a network is one of toughest challenges in IT. It's really hard to sync times because, time itself is an uncontrollable variable on the solution side of the equation.

Stop accusing jose dude...jeez...just cuz kramnik has skill issue in online formate doesnt mean he'd accuse a great player like Jose...he should just admit that online chess is not his thing and nobody will show hate to him

We don't deserve Kramnik. He is Conor McGregor of chess.

As much as Kramnik behaves badly, I'm very impressed of Jose. He never lost composure; just a testament of his upbringing. Very classy.

31:36 I love the symbolism: Kramnik descending and running away (some were real tech issues but others were just excuses as he had already got a losing position on the board) Jose Martinez Alcantara, standing like a final boss.

Overlooking the fact that the 'real tech issues' and dealing with them certainly wasn't conducive to best play. It's like playing football on a pitch with gopher holes... sure it can affect either side, but the conditions ruin the chance for a truly 'fair' match...
@Smileater3 ай бұрын
@@jeremycraft2445 you’re missing Jose ALSO had tech issues. It happens all the time. Jospem is better prepared for them, because every pro player knows an estimate of how much time they have been thinking on a move.
@jeremycraft24453 ай бұрын
@@Smileater But it wasn't 'a move' Kramnik's time was showing incorrectly indicating that he had only a few seconds for the rest of the game when he had actually had around 20. That's a pretty significant difference. And I don't recall the documentary mentioning Jose having the same kind of issues? In fact they specifically stated that Jose's laptop HAD all the updates while Kramnik's did not. Either way the point is, it wasn't a level playing field, and thus we cannot really accept the conclusion without doubts. That's the shame of it all, the event left everyone dissatisfied.

Kramnik accused me of using my microwave wrongly, he said I should put it at 3 minutes and not 3 minutes and 12 seconds. That extra 12 seconds made him lose his mind and smashed my microwave. So, a rematch between my microwave and mr Kramnik isnt possible then.

Idk what you would call prepping? Its known that kramnik's repetoire is really big, its also known in the first match martinez was strugling against the french. I imagine both would prepare...
@seanhunter1113 ай бұрын
Kramnik's 2000 world championship prep is the reason everyone plays the Berlin at the highest level vs the Spanish after all. At his peak his prep was monumental. That said he just isn't nearly as strong as he used to be as a player and he cannot accept that, which I think is at the root of him accusing everyone else of cheating.

Kramnik experiences lag problems that gamers have been experiencing since the dawn of network gaming.. I've seen my opponents clock reach zero and then not flag so many times you just accept it as a reality of playing online chess or any COD type game .. 😟 Kudo's to Jose for beating him.
