Force required to close the #4: 365 foot pounds Force in a rottweiler's jaws: 328 foot pounds Absolutely fucking staggering. Long derided as mythical bragging, Samuelsson is one of the few men on the planet with enough DOCUMENTED grip strength to crack some parts of the human skull with just his hands (presuming he could get a good grip on your head and tolerate the painfully severe force on his thumb joints).

Yes, one of the comments was kinda close to scientific. Point is the unit "force" is designated the same way that weight is, ( pound, newton ) pounds per square inch (p.s.i) is the english measure of pressure, ( force over an area.. what's more ? Force around a radius is called torque, and the english term ismeaaured in "pound feet"
@rookiebird93822 жыл бұрын
dude, it's not true. the force on the gripper is 365 pounds. So the torque is only around 100 pound feet. If you have ever seen how a lug nut tightened in the truck wheel, you would realize how big is 365 pound feet of torque. It requires a 5 feet long leverage and a strong man to create 500 pound feet of torque.
@Southernbread686 Жыл бұрын
Lol dude no, 365 foot pounds? You are ignorant asf and making all your likers even dumber. Some car engines cant even produce 365 ft lb torque

Magnus är kung! (Magnus is king!) I have seen him do crazy power-stuff since he was a "little" kid. He puts a face to the saying "gentle giant". I remember one night when he was a bouncer at my nightclub... he carried an aggressive guy around 200 lb out of the club, holding him under the armpits with straight arms. The guy looked so chocked and scared that he did not dare to move. People parted like the dead-sea when Magnus calmly carried him out. It was the funniest thing ever !

This is an amazing feat of strength I'm not sure that people understand how crazy this actually is. If you want to try this at home for cheap go to the Home Depot and buy a brick because that what its like. When you crush the brick then by all means bash Magnus. This is my first youtube comment because I usually try to stay out of this crap. My personal opinion is that the youtube comments are a petri dish for ass holes and I do not participate. Although this was different because I can almost close the #3 and cannot really budge the #4 so I know the level difficulty. The moral of the story being have some respect for this guy.
@cgvapors9639 жыл бұрын
Avery Camden I agree with your comment 100%. This is truly an amazing feat, and even the world's greatest armwrestler's of all time, like John Brzenk, could not close one like this. Someone said he closed one once, but then I saw somewhere he admitted he came close a couple times, but never fully closed one. People bashing this are morons who just like to troll anything they see. End of story.

Nope, it's 365lb of *torque* to close(inch-pounds) which is what gripper manufacturers rate them in, but in literal pounds the RGC calibration of it is an exact 210lb for a perfect #4. Some will go up as high as 217lb, some as low as 200, but that's the true "poundage" number.

also progression becomes harder the higher the weight. It's barder to get from 100 to 120 kg, than it is to get from 80 to 100. Basically the progression scale is not linear, but exponential. Good question, I bet even a small chimp could! I remember reading that the reason other primates are so much 'stronger' is that they are able to recruit nearly 100% of their muscle fibers while we humans generally recruit a much smaller percentage, but are wired more for dexterity. Others says tendonous insertions in chimps give them a mechanical advantage, probably both are true I suspect! And the strength difference is most noted in the 'pull' phase of course!

The hardest is the BB Universe made by Warren Tetting, with a .502in spring, and is a bout 3 times harder than the CoC #4. This is the CoC #4, rated at 365 in-lbs to close, or 210lb of pressure. Magnus is one of 5 in the world to close the #4.
