despite how you may feel about it now your zero tech guide gave me a level of enjoyment that I didn't think I would ever get out of the zero collection. I was halfway through zero 3 when I first came across you guide, i was enjoying my time with the games sure but i didn't see myself coming back anytime soon but you video made me want to experiment and after finishing my playthrough of zero 3, i've spent days replaying the entire trilogy and getting a new appreciation for the ranking system and yeah getting that A rank for the first time felt so earned

I thought I was watching a TAS and wasn’t expecting any commentary but you surprised me lol, seeing you tear through the Zero stages, especially Neo Arcadia really is satisfying, and making use of that triple rod is sick. I wonder which ZX game you would choose if you were placing it in this list and what area from either game you would use to showcase why you like said game.

I was a bit taken aback seeing 8 in the top 5. I was expecting it to be Zero or X related :p But i definitely do get it though. 8’s weapons are SERIOUSLY fun to mess around with. People complain about how they all do the same damage as the buster (apparently), but I don’t really mind that when all of them play really uniquely, and have their own uses and strengths. And since you get an upgrade that doubles the weapon energy you can get, it becomes really fun to mess around with them. 4 is really fun too. It started to become one of my favorites of the OG NES games after a bit because of how well made and polished it is compared to the other games. And the weapons aren’t half bad either so that’s also really good :p Happy 15 years anniversary by the way sir 👍

I understand you needing a break. You know truthfully I wish I was as good as you are at these games, but then I think back to when I was twenty years old (32 now) and I started speed running Mega Man X. I got really good, and it was still fun, but then I got so good I found it hard to casually play through without it feeling like I was just going through the motions. After Mega Man X I stopped speed running Mega Man entirely. Now I became more so of an aspiring lore master, and my playthrough style is more like an avid explorer rather than a speed runner. It helps keep my passion alive and growing for the series, like instead of crushing the games into the ground I’m always trying too find out new details about them I didn’t know. Even George Lucas talked about burn out with your passions, that mindset change has worked wonders for myself if it resonates with you too, you know something maybe getting into battle network/starforce/legends with more of a lore goal instead of a speedrun goal might help with the burnout, just a thought, and also, dope top 5, magma dragoons stage is highly underrated fasho!:)

Megaman 8 definitely looks amazing with you playing it. I always felt like the game was too hard for me and I really dislike it because of that, but I definitely can see it being one of the best after mastering many Megaman games. I'm also a big fan of Megaman Zero 1, but I am not too familiar with the other games in the series because I did not have as much time to play them and I am not sure which ones I played. Since I like easier Megaman games,I think Megaman 7 would be in my top 3, although the Megaman Zero series could take the top 3 slots if we are honest. I also wonder if Megaman Legends counts because I loved that game too. And if Megaman Battle Network counted, that would get very jumbled.

i was introduced to the franchise in a weird way. pc port of the arcade games (a 2 in 1. power battle, battle fighter) and x5. played them on my pc for about 4 years until i learned about emulators. played all the ones that would run on my crappy pc. got a psp and played maverick hunter and powered up. jail broke the psp to use the emulators on the go. a ton of fan games and inspired games (yeah, even #9. not a terrible game but it is kinda meh). then finally, with the legacy collections, i was able to play x7 and x8. although, i will say that in every game i play, i take a lot of damage... (except for x5, x1, mhx, mm1, mm2. but not "no damage") this franchise is the only one (game wise) where i can with confidence, write a very long and accurate timeline. i've done so when i was bored in high school during class and just wrote and drew a timeline from scratch. i also did that during detention. i was completely absorbed into the lore. the only other thing i could think of that i can do the same on is gundam (as you can probably guess from my profile)

No need to apologize for liking Mega Man 8 aesthetics. In fact, I daresay that it had the unfortunate timing that 2D spritework was considered out of style as the general populace was fascinated by the extremely early era 3D polygonal era due to novelty, but the sort of artistry displayed in MM8 has almost entirely died out nowadays due to the lack of skilled animators due to industry trends. People didn't know how lucky they were until they've lost it - they thought Mega Man would always be there receiving top end treatment like that. We gotta appreciate the good things while we still have them.
