Very good review and comparison on these grips. I've gone from an A2, to a MIAD, to a MOE, & finally to a MOE-K2+. I love the angle & feel of the MOE-K2+.

I've used the K2+, and it works on all rifle lengths, it just lets you pull the rifle closer to your body, and the rubberized coating is amazing for your grip.

Good overview. I have changed all of my grips to the MOE+. Like other upgrades such as an aftermarket charging handle, etc., they make small but significant improvements. I liked the new SL, but yeah, no storage and has the hard plastic feel. Love the tactile, solid feel of the MOE+. Feels similar to the Hogue rubberized products, with the MOE angle and shape, and of course, it matches other Magpul furniture colors exactly. Highly recommended, inexpensive upgrade which you 'feel' every time you handle/fire the gun.

You've helped me a lot. I want the angle of the K-2 and if the MIAD 1.1 has the same angle - that's what I'm going with. Way to go!

@@tacktiician4978 dude, mine has been amazing, I love it, it shoots like a dream man, 2000+ rnds and not a single issue, 1.5 moa groups at 100 yards using a Sig Romeo5 RDS (a fukkin red dot sight getting damn near 1moa groups at 100 yards completely stock homeboy)....DEFINITELY NOT "TRASH"!!! FAR FUKKIN FROM IT ACTUALLY BRO BRO... That's pretty damn good if you ask me (especially if it was scoped), I know damn well it would stack boolots through the same fukkin hole at a hundo easily, and that's going to be my next purchase most likely, well either a good scope or just a good magnifier... Yeah we all know it ain't no "Gucci" fancy "pretty boy" looker, but I don't want some fancy pants looking rifle that only shoots marginally better for much much MUCH MORE MONEY, BECAUSE THATS FUKKIN GHAAAAAYYYYY BRO!!! break yo self ho, the S&W M&P Sport2 is a great rifle for the money, I'd put it up against your Gucci pretty boy fancy pants rifle any day dude, and if yo Gucci rifle does out shoot mine, it won't be by much, half an moa AT MOST, I ain't paying hellah $$$$ for a (pretty boy rifle) that can only shoot half an moa better than a 600 dollar stock rifle of the shelf... Now I'm not saying you run some pretty boy Gucci rifle, I'm just speaking in generalities, but the sport 2 ain't trash my any means, I'd trust my life to my rifle, wouldn't do that with "trash" bro!!

I purchased the PSA LPK (w/ SBA3) which came with the MOE. I didn't like the feel of the polymer.. it was hard and almost slippery as I have dry hands. Looking for something softer/rubber.. will consider MOE+

I'm glad I ended up ordering the moe+... The regular moe doesn't seem worth it versus my standard ruger grip. I don't mind my ruger grip but it just made more sense to get this versus ordering a plug and a rubber overgrip that isn't a perfect fit aesthetics wise. Plus the moe+ was only a few bucks more versus the add ons to my stock grip. Now if you happen to like your stock grip and don't want a rubber grip over it then just get a 8$ plug for the handle and be done with it. There's no point in wasting the space in the handle because it can actually hold quiet a bit plus no point in letting it build up filth over time with no cover.

Very good review lots of info, thanks. I do have one difference of opinion and that is I worry about rubber over-molding breaking down. I have had lots of tools where the rubber in the grip over time gets an almost slimy feeling to them which is unpleasant and not reassuring to hold. If the grip is properly textured then you don't need a layer of rubber to provide traction. I guess you would have more insulation from vibration with the rubber over-molding, but, shooting a 223/5.56 just doesn't have that much vibration to start with, so, no need for that layer of rubber. I have the MIAD and love the flexibility and feel. I have an Ergo on my AK and it is starting to break down and getting that sticky soon to be slimy feeling to it, so am looking to replace it sometime soon. There is a way they could have made the MIAD better, and hopefully, they will do that in the next generation and that is, I wish they had expanded the modular concept a little farther. I have a VP9 and I love that I can not only replace the backstrap but also the side panels and I can do each side differently. So they could have included two or three different side panels allowing you to truly customize the whole grip to fit like a glove. That would have been a killer grip and I would have put on all my rifles even the ones that don't have pistol grips :-)

23:18 just apply your preferred grit of Talon grip applique on the various individual components of the MIAD grip. That's what my cousin did with the hog hunting rifle I helped him build & it worked out much better than having uniform rubberized grip texture all around. Another alternative is squeezing a 1.25" Manta Defense pistol grip cover over the MIAD. It's very soft, very grippy, and ribbed for your pleasure lol.

i like the fake ergo....the rubber overmolding becomes sticky when wet....and its slim making it easy to position your grip that makes you comfortable

I found your comparison very helpful. Because of it I'm going with the MIAD. It cost a little more, but I like the semi custom fit features. It several grips in one. This grip is probably cheaper in the long run. You surely will find a combination to your liking. Dealing with returns is costly (gas or shipping). Again, thanks.

Moe + all day for me. Perfect rubber feel and not too sticky either. Storage is just big enough for 4-5 emergency rounds😏 When you think you out of ammo, you got a few more just n case.

Love the K2 put it on all my guns I actually thought I was gonna like the K2+ even more but I didn’t like the smooth rubber grip as much as the regular K2 if you can’t get a K2 the BCM gunfighter has the almost same angle 📐 and it’s almost as good as the K2!🤯🔫💣

Most grips have just one hole for the mounting screw. I have a mag-pull grip with two holes in it for mounting screws. Is this grip for the 308 battle rifles?

It takes some getting use to . It feels alot different from the angled grip. The balance of the weapon shifts to the front of the Ar pistol or SBR. I would recommend a brace to even it out.

The more vertical grips for sbr’s don’t “bring your hand in closer to your body.” It would require an increase in angle to have that affect; not a decrease in angle. Jus sayin😁 Great review/comparison man. 👍🏻👊🏻
@oneslackr3 жыл бұрын
Magpul disagrees with you, jus sayin! "MOE-K2® Grip - AR15/M4: Similar in concept to the MOE-K, the MOE-K2 is a drop in upgrade for the AR15 / M4 that offers a more vertical grip angle, but in a full-size grip design. The steeper vertical grip angle is optimized for use on PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) configurations and improves comfort and control on short LOP rifles that bring the primary hand in closer to the shooter's body. "
