Vedic aryans were fish eating Brahmins and war of Mahabharata was fought by kuru tribes there is some exaggeration and story telling but core story did happen as this kind of fight for kingdom and power is universal

If he's saying it's historical... I mean The Arab historical books has a 200 year gap between events and that's just if we are extremely skeptical of works of Ibn Ishaq.... If we take Ibn Ishaq as a book(it's referenced in many later books), then the gap is reduced at best to 100 years.... They also have broad chains of narrations... And yet many historians argue for an skeptical approach... If that is the level of skepticism there, in that case.... Mahabharat is simply ahistorical.... I don't like such historical inconsistencies by historians....

Ashoka is Arjun in Mahabharat mythology and Buddha is Krishna.

this hypothesis can hardly be substantiated , secondly , krishna finds his mention in pre buddhist scriptures like atharva veda and chandogya upanishad. all we can say safely is that mahabharata has a historical core which took place around 1500-1000 BCE . and has stories , myths and legends added to it . the event described in mahabharata is the infighting of kuru tribes leading to their downfall and yadavas taking over from there on.

Why don't you setup some call with Saints of India . scholars of India and discuss these. there are no counter questions , it does shows you guys doesn't know anything so whatever he says is truth in this conversation. you better keep good scholar opposite then do it. he can't even understand who is indra you have asked him to be part of this call.

I still don't understand how, from an academic perspective, such texts can even be taken seriously? We need a critical historical approach. As my previous comment said, even for a religion with Islam, where the sources are much earlier, accounts have much much more rational explanation of events, even confirmation in many areas like the dating of uthmanic codex, the archaeological evacuation of pre-islamic poetry found in actually later Islamic sources which critical historians would dismiss as propoganda... My point is atleast there was this skeptical approach and many still, as a methodology, try to think outside of these sources..... We should take a similar stand to all religious sources..... This video seems like just to somehow portray that believing in tradition is rational which is just impossible in this specific case.
