What I Wish I Knew As A Pre-Med

I just have to tell you, about 2 years ago I was so torn on what I wanted to do. I didn't think medicine was for me for whatever reason, so I was thinking of different healthcare professions like optometry or physical therapy. I was in sort of a lull, I was sort of happy, but I wasn't truly passionate about anything I was doing. Stumbling upon your channel gave me a boost to look at medicine again, and it was like God opened my eyes and showed me that this was the right time and circumstance to pursue medicine again. My professors have commented throughout the past 2 years that I seem much happier and excited about my future. I'm currently interviewing at med schools and you were the catalyst that set me on the right path, so thank you for all you do :)

i just wanted to say thank you cuz im currently a medical student and i've always struggled with the question of why do you want to study\go into medicine? at the time it was simply because i had good grades and that just seem like the next step to take, medicine was for smart people but i’ve come to realize this now that it was because i needed to save myself first and then hopefully save others.

@@caribaez5711 some doctors are really horrible at their jobs tho. At 12 years old my ob/gyn asked me if I was "raped" or "married" implying I shouldn't be concerned about my sexuality unless it's for the pleasure of a partner. People sued the hospital but she still has her license

I would love to see videos of you explaining certain medical topics like pathology and the biology behind those things. I don't know if this is something that would take too much of your time but I feel like these would be very informative and that you would be able to explain these topics very well! Also just the vlogs that you make are interesting, maybe you could tell us about the stuff that you experience during your time at the hospital. Or just like updates on how school is going. Studying 16 hours a day? Not even some of the worst students need even half that amount of time to get straight As full time. For premed you shouldn’t need more than 40 hours a week to do exceptional in all classes
