@@JOSHII87 श्रीस्वामीसमर्थाय नमः. :-- तूच डोक्यावर पडला आहेस कारण १९४६/४७ मध्ये बंगाल मधील नौखाली येथे मुसलमान हिंदुंच्या कत्तली करीत होते तेंव्हा ब्रिटिश शासनाला नौखालीतील मुसलमानांवर बौंबफेक करुन त्यांची दहापट कत्तल करायला न सांगता गांधीनी दिल्ली ते नौखाली अशी पदयात्रा सुरू केली. त्यामुळे हिंदुंच्या कत्तली करून मुसलमानानी गांधींच्या स्वागतासाठी सिद्धता केली . ह्या बातम्या मी मुंबईत वर्तमानपत्रात तेंव्हा वाचल्या आहेत. त्यामुळेच गांधीना मारल्याची बातमी ऐकून आम्ही सर्व विद्यार्थी ( ३०/१/१९४८ ला आमचा वर्ग वस ईला सहलीला गेला होता. संध्याकाळी परत येताना बोरीवली येथे आम्हाला गांधीना मारल्याची बातमी कळली आणि आम्ही सर्व ओरडलोच की * गांधी मेला, गांधी मेला*.

On becoming Barrister Gandhiji returned to India and to start legal profession he accepted a brief in a matter in the Small Causes Court in Mumbai.His matter was before Judge Chitre.When the matter wss called out Gandhi stood up go address the court but his legs started trembling in trousers and he realised that advocacy wss not his cup of tea.zSo he closed and came on the sea shore at Marine lines and sat thinking of not going to court again and joined politics.He himself has narrated this in his autobiography My life truth and other things.Advo Ram Gogte Vandre Mumbai51.

No doubt Avinash Dharmadhikari is well read person.He can talk with authority on any subject.But in this speech on Gandhi he has reffered to Nokhali incidence, where he has stated that Gandhi went there to stop communal riots.This is not true.He did visited that place but when ?When Hindus in retaliation opposed muslim community who were hitherto killing Hindus.whenmuslim were killing Hindus Gandhi did not go there but when Hindus started killing Muslims Gandhi went there to stop Hindus from attacking Muslims and threatened to go on fast.About Milala massacre of Hindus,Gandhi was asked about it.He said they, Mopalas,are doing right thing according to their policy.After partition , when Hindu refugees entered Delhi ,they were given shelter in Mosques , including Jama masjid.When Gandhi came to know about it,he ordered? To evacuate masjid and Hindu refugees were expelled It was terrible cold i Delhi and children,old persons had to stay on road.NathuramGodase was present there and he saw the light of these refugees.Anotherpoint which I want to attract the attention is that Avinash sir has referred toAhinsa and said that Ahinsa has its roots in ancient Indian culture.Nowhere else and anytime this was preached and practised .RamayanandMahabharat never advocated it except King Ashok in recent past.Gandhis fearless policy is highly appreciable.The lesser said about his is experience of chastity ( Brahmcharya), the better of it.Further elaborating may lead landing in trouble.Excuse me for this audacity. .

Avinash ji, have you read a book named " all men are brothers" published by Unesco, which contains his opinions on all subjects. When I read it, it transformed my opinion about his philosophy. While I agree with Dharmadhikari sir with some things about Gandhi, we've also to understand he was inspired by Leo Tolstoy book Kingdom of God is within you. This book is about Christian interpretation. In his autobiography he mentions he was offended by Christian missionary activities in erstwhile Gujrat. It's human psychology that gets inspired if mind comes across something radical. In ancient Hindu texts, violence for just cause is never discouraged. Having said this he was great philosopher but I refuse to call him Mahatma.
