You Chelsea fans are ridiculous, this is very prejudice to American owners. There's no way your owners will ruin Chelsea to the levels you are talking about. Liverpool and Arsenal have American owners. They've bought the veterans home to build the stadium but you won't sell them the pitch? In order for Chelsea to get a new proper stadium they would have to rotate the pitch like Tottenham did. For that to happen the owners need rights to the pitch. There is still another group of houses to buy to make the stadium which will cost a lot. Chelsea fans have to realise they're snookered. You won't move to elite stadium status in the current area without conceding to the owners. You're mixing your on field and transfer mistakes with stadium ambitions. Buying out the homeowners in that area may cost as much as a new stadium. On top of that you want to price them out of the pitch. I say this as someone who lives in Fulham but not a Chelsea fan. The amount of land they've secured at the moment gives Chelsea the option to make one Stand elite, similar to Fulham FC's. You need to do everything you can to help the process and make it cheaper if you want to stay at Stamford bridge. You can't cry if they move you to Wickham

Both parties can exit if Boehly with Saudi investors buy 61% of Clearlake and maybe 26% shares from other 2 current shareholders. Boehly will receive a high commission amount and can remain as director for the club. Clearlake and Blueco may receive 3bn for club but because assets sold to Blueco, new owners will have to pay more.

Javon things have changed😹 you’ve never played ball if you think this won’t impact on the pitch. During takeovers, ownership issues players often don’t get paid on time, there is serious tension at the training ground, staff also get paid late and there are lots of grumblings. Players are getting bombarded with briefs on what to say if asked about club issues

Legally unlikely they can both fully sell for the duration of time set by Roman. However it doesn't stop them from bringing in investors of any size, however one party must still be involved at all times...this would be my guess with fully reading the legal agreement.

It was for 10 years, of which 2 have passed now. According to Ben Jacobs, Clearlake and other investors (Boehly and co.) can exchange shares between each other since such a scenario wasn't accounted for by Raine/Roman during the takeover. However a third party still cannot gain majority control, but there's still space open for minority investment. Need to note some confidential info are not always disclosed for various reasons, so there could be more to it (like an actual exit clause). But so far this is all we know.

There's power struggle currently because of that. So one party to have total control, they would have to formally buy others out.

Do you want a bloated pension investment fund that wants 3 VPs involved in how to decide even the coffee flavor in the cafeteria, and will be concerned with their profit above everything else? Or do you want an owner who actually cares about the team, is willing to lose his own money for titles, wants accountability, and will do what he feels he needs to (like buying out a large investment fund for 2.5 billion) to protect the club.

On the jon obi Mikel comments I don't understand why he needs to be Black or White in this scenario. isn't it possible that very much like us at one point he was looking at things from the outside looking in and once he saw things from the inside he got more insight and knowledge than any of us viewing it from the outside could ever fathom? Us fans like to think we know everything we like to think that we can piece together a bunch of information and have the answers but in reality the true people that hold the answers are those on the inside. The information that we hear from journalists from publicist from whoever is information that they allow us to hear. I think it's possible that Mikel saw it one way and once he heard it from the horse's mouth and saw it with his own eyes he changed his mind. I think the fact that so many people already think he's bought out just goes to show they really want to hear what they want to hear that suits their agenda. I understand the frustration of not having won anything in recent years but can we stop pretending that this team cant potentially win something with this manager, can we stopped pretending like we can just flip a switch and all the sudden we're winners and the owners just haven't done it. If we win I cannot wait to see how the Chelsea community reacts. Are they going to shift the goal posts and say oh well we should have been winning the champions league and we should be winning the premier League. People speaking of delusion of the positive ones but I like to think that there's delusion of failure on the negative ones as well.

But even if we don't I feel that as long as we are making progress and winning trophies along the way (we were very close last season) then I'm fine with not making top four this season. The biggest reason why people are so upset with the civil war is because we haven't won anything. No one was up in arms when Roman was no longer allowed in the country because Roman was covering the cracks by helping us continue to win trophies.

Hard disagree. You can't win anything major with kids and that's well known. It's backed up by plenty of top managers as well, so it's not just a waffle from fans who don't know what they are talking about. Mikel has been at the club before and he also has spoken to people working at the club like Terry for example. Im sure he's had an idea of what the directors are doing for quite a long time. I doubt that he suddenly changed his mind on the whole strategy. He probably got scared of the backlash or he was told to calm it down. I don't think anyone that's negative is delusional. The club is an absolute mess and we are not winning because the club is a mess. You won't suddenly start winning by making the same dumb ass decisions and sticking to the same dumb approach. People don't believe in the strategy and the way we do things and they've been proven absolutely right to be worried. It makes sense that we are inconsistent when we only have 23.0 average age. It makes sense that a lot of these players at not at the level required because they need development and it makes sense why all of this effects our results. So, yeah that's why people are worried. No one believed in the strategy from the start and we've been proven right.

Pretty sure with Roman's "Cathedral of Football" Stamford Bridge extension the planning permissions for it expired which is kind of common when it comes to new builds. As the period between getting the go ahead from councils and building it proper can be tight. When he wanted to extend the planning permission his visa was expiring and before we know it he got caught up in the Russia Sanctions and then had to sell the club. I'm also not sure if he got all the votes he needed from the CPO to get the go ahead as well.
