Will Sultan Suleiman spare Ibrahim's life?
Sultan Suleiman gets disturbed when İbrahim wants to leave the palace again. He endungeons him without a hesitation. As Sultan Suleiman decides about his vizier, he only shares the situation with the Sultana. Ibrahim appears before Sultan Suleiman. Sultan Suleiman and Ibrahim has a tense conversation. Sultan Suleiman makes an important decision about İbrahim. Meanwhile Hatice grows a hope that Ibrahim is back to the palace and waits for the moment that she will get together with him. The Sultana wants to hide the truth from her. However, Hurrem tells everything happened to Hatice. Hatice reacts harshly after what she has learned.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

@@viastephtop Hurrem had no thought or intention of harming him when he was a child. It started when he presented himself as a threat to her and her children’s lives. Hurrem didn’t actually go after his life until he mentioned her children, it wasn’t his disrespect or his insult towards her but the threat with her sons. After their fight Hurrem tried to fix the incident and convince him to have a peaceful relationship but he rejected her and threatened her. Prior that it was more like keeping an eye on him and having him under control through a female influence like Nora, but the boy played around and found out.

@@Dreamfyre Oh no I completely agree with you. Hurrem wouldn't hurt a child, but when it was obvious that any time there was any hint of something happening to the sultan, Mahidevran and the gang would start circling like vultures...I don't know if Mustafa would have hurt his siblings, but it wasn't a chance she was willing to take. After all, Mahi was responsible for Mehmet's death. Hurrem didn't toss the first stone, she just made sure she was left standing once the rocks started to fly.

@@viastephtop Exactly, Mahidevran never failed to use Mustafa as a threat and a shield against Hurrem. She always threatened her with her son either to feed her ego and make Hurrem not mess with her or when she was burning for revenge. “I will destroy you with the power I get from my prince” and “You will not die until you see your children dead”. The first one is pretty self explanatory and the second one would be possible for Mahidevran to do only if she was Valide and her son was the Sultan. The woman herself made her son a bait for Hurrem. And Mustafa’s threat was the breaking point for Hurrem to realize “Yep, these two are dead serious. It’s either him or my children.” No wonder she tried to kill him, they started it first.

She probably would have governed similarly to Ayşe Hafsa, who would have been the only example of leadership in the Imperial harem she would have seen. To be fair, the actual Mahidevran shows signs of being a careful woman, who was capable of sound strategy, so I don't think the harem would have suffered under her and Mustafa probably would have continued to depend on her. The bigger unknown is what would happen to the progress of what we know as the Sultanate of Women.
