Mahima Chaudhry on her horrific accident, troubled marriage, depression, single parenting| Her Story

Mahima Chaudhry was undoubtedly a darling of the '90s but a few films and a horrific accident later, the actress found herself in a huge mess, both personally and professionally. While the left side of her face had been devastated because of the accident during the shoot of Dil Kya Kare, professionally, she never felt she would ever return to films. But with her passion and perseverance, she made it back in the business with a completely different perspective. But that's not all, despite settling down with her husband a few years later, troubles started brewing in their marriage which finally ended in separation and a little tussle over the child's custody. In this emotional interview, she opens up about the toughest times of her life, the accident, how the media put out nasty write-ups even then calling her 'scarface' and how she dealt with the tumultuous upheavals in her personal life - whether it was her separation from her husband or battling depression after her miscarriages and her mother being diagnosed with Parkinson's. I had no idea about the accident that she faced. At that time I used to think why she doesn’t get main lead roles like Preity and Rani even after a debut as big as Pardes.
