Looks like the seat would bother me.Also with bad knees the bottom assist strap seems too high.Do you have a shuttle-sgift?

My 1635 is a shuttle and the clutch and brakes are easy to engage.

Wow, parts are expensive for Mahindra? I thought they were high for everyone. JD is awfully proud of their stuff, too. Most recent experience has been a while, I was looking for a starter for a jd 830 diesel utility tractor. I think it was a '73 model. JD dealer had it, but it was high. O'Reilly auto parts had it for half the price back in 2006 or 2007. I always thought JD charged a premium just for having stock or being able to get your JD parts, whatever they may be.

Everything Mahindra is expensive and slow to get. I wouldn’t say John Deere is inexpensive, but oil and filters are definitely cheaper than Mahindras and the parts are easier to get. Mahindra tractors made by Mitsubishi are a bit easier to find elsewhere mostly because Mitsubishi has pretty much remained consistent over the years. Happy New Year!

@LedgemereHeritageFarm I guess they changed some along the way. Back in the 90s, when Mahindra was first bringing tractors here, I remember being with my dad at the farm machinery show in Louisville. He immediately noticed they looked just like old IH tractors like my B414 I bought years later. We struck up a conversation with the rep there, and he started telling us all the parts that were interchangeable with IH, and how much cheaper they were to buy through Mahindra. I guess those were some pretty tough tractors... They actually improved the head on the bd154 engine and made it direct injection.

Thinking serouisly about buying 1 of these for small property maintenance..with bad knees prob have to spend Xtra $ on hydrostatic

Try it both ways as the hydro does take some effort and hurts my knee after a while. Thank You for watching

Thx.ill go look at one with a shuttle....if there is a $1500 or more $ diff I could live with it as long as I don't have to fully depress clutch everytime i go from F to R
