For those who r wondering how 2 litre petrol engine more powerful than 2.2 diesel,coz its GDI injection system (direct gasoline(petol) injection. Unlike mpfi/pfi/fi which throws fuel in intake manifold n makes low pressure airfuel mixture which is then fed to combustion ( here compression ratios n pressure at which fuel injected is low as compared to GDI)LESS POWER LESS EFFICIENCY. The grill is an eyesore ,but it's an easy aftermarket fix ..and people who think Thar is a copy of Wrangler ,the Wrangler is an evolutionary design of the original cj3b & Mahindra also assembled the Cj-3B as cl550 here under Licensed approval of Jeep like HM made ambassador from MG motors. And not only that Mahindra also renewed their license in 2009 before the inception of new gen mm540 called the Thar. So those who don't know educate yourself ,it's not a blatant copy but an agreement between two manufacturers to continue the legacy mahindra has also been a part of.It's like Tata manufacturing Multijet from FCA and calling it with a different name ,they get the engine but mahindra uses the Design .The roxor case was because mahindra wasn't allowed to use the same in FCA'S homemarket - America ,that wasn't part of the deal but if it's a copy they can sue them here too ,but they can't & won't .

They could have worked on proper fit and finish in the rear. Proper wiring. Optional list could include Steering wheel cover, rear camera, auto dimming mirrors, auto fold mirrors. Maybe the facelift will be more refined. The screen feels small in that blank space. Overall a very tempting car to purchase. It's a beautiful car to look at.

Everything in this machine is astounding... Again Mahindra have done a great work ..hope to look for four door version of that in future like wranglar Rubicon.. but still some comfort issues is there 1. Centre armrest for the driver and co-passenger is missing which is a big flaw for the long journey 2. Seems like Mahindra didn't cared about the rear seat passengers didn't thought giving rear AC ventilation so can deny the claustrophobic issue in back seat 3. No charging ports for the back seat passengers 4. Priced 10-15 lakhs which is more competitive segment since it has more elephants in the same circus...

The new thar sounds amazing. The fit and finish could've been better for the rear area. And just an idea, where the wheels protrude they could've provided an armrest just for better comfort. If I was old enough and was earning I'd surely buy this though! But I've got atleast another 8 years for that😂 Mahindra will hopefully come with another facelift by then😁.

@@digvijaykole6746 Dekko chacha..their is no point of ruining thar 🤦‍♂️, I just suggested that "they could have given us an option in their line up, 5 seater would be more convenient for a family because everyone can't access that rear seat properly....and it could be upto the buyer that he needs a 5door or a 3 door version now as for the infotainment system as the thar's is an off-road long drive vehicle GPS is necessary ,a bigger screen would always helps in reading the map and navigate easily"...read the damn comment properly before jumping to conclusions

@@jubinthomas5204 the thing is suzuki is deciding to launch the jimny with 4doors bcz of people like you Who want to fit family members There is something called a recreational vehicle If everyone starts manufacturing family cars Then what is the use of having so many different automobile companies And the bigger infotainment screen thing 7inch infotainment system is still a better opion Bcz the older thar didn't even have proper Air Conditioning This is just a 2nd generation in 4-5years we might get the 3rd generation Still this thing is better than the older thar Atleast we can say that we spend like 14-15 lacs on an actual car Not some old barebone junk

I'm not saying that make all the thars 5 doors why would they do that????..kyu tum recreational activities Mai akele hi jathe ho kya??there are some people who want to take their family with them and adding 2 extra door won't affect its performance that much, and there are people who convert their thar into a 4 door version)...😐😐😐......

But this won't make the new thar vfm bcz there are still some panel gaps, exposed wirings and people won't buy cars which cost 20lacs and have hard plastics, exposed wiring, panel gaps and no reverse parking cameras

Soft roof top is waterproof in heavy rain condition have you checked it or any water leakage and what about security in soft top
