Fully agree about the drive comfort and seating position. If have done a few trips of about 1000km in one go without any back issues. I had a back operation a few years ago and when driving the work Ranger(2017) or Hilux(2012) I feel discomfort after a 100km, but not in the Scorpio N.

My family owns a Mahindra Scorpio-N. It's huge, amazing, and that go anywhere attitude is something I always look for in my car with a 7 seater version. It's just amazing to drive on hour long highways and on muddy terrains. No complaints at all. Keep going Mahindra. Proud to be a Mahindra Scorpio-N owner.

People often speak about the lack of storage space, but no one has ever spoken about how much space you have under the middle row of seats. There is a huge space. In South Africa we only get the normal 7-seater version and not the second row captain’s seats(must say they look great). Under my middle row of seats I can fit a 4-meter Jumper Cable, tow ropes and tie down straps, small fire extinguisher, foldable spade, small First Aid kit, a 1/4” drive socket set, air compressor, black bags for rubbish, toilet paper and a bag that contains a hammer, pliers, screwdrivers, wire, cable ties, larger socket wrench and basic socket sizes, saw, spanners, fire lighters and a lighter. They all fit under the seat. What is also great is that you can fit longer pipes, fishing rods or planks in the boot as they can pass through that space between the floor board and seat. It is very handy.
@DanielSnare2 ай бұрын
That sounds like a really useful space! Coming from a Ute you get less space but I still think it works well. I’m sure we’ll get a 7 seat version in Australia soon :)
@BertieJasokieАй бұрын
I had a First gen FL 2.6 Crde SLX in 2008, Bench seats had storage underneath to stow away all the junky looking stuff. It was the most powerful car I had driven at that time but It had issues in build quality, bouncy rear ride and electronic malfunctions on a regular basis.

I purchased one as well and absolutely love it. However, I do have one concern. The car lacks selectable drive modes like Comfort or Sport, and there's no button under the accelerator to manually drop a gear for overtaking. This can make overtaking stressful at times, as the car isn’t the fastest out there. Sometimes it will drop a gear automatically, but other times it won't, which adds to the unpredictability. I have the 4x4 version, and I find it odd that while the 2x4 version includes Zip/Zap/Zop drive modes, the Z8L does not. This I tend to find very strange and annoying but besides that the car is AWESOME. If the hybrid version comes out with a little more juice I promise I will be one of the first in line to buy it.

Hi Daniel, Thank you for the video. Just wondering, were there any issues with storing stuff considering the uneven folding of the rear seats? Thanks, Dev
@DanielSnareАй бұрын
Hey mate, yeah it’s not flat however I’ve taken the rear seats out and used that unevenness to my advantage with a battery and drawers as seen in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXyufpmjlLx6ia8

Madhindra is well known and reliable Indian Brand. The only cocern I see here in Australia is the ANCAP rating. That worries me and also hits the saftey factor and resale value of the car.
@DanielSnare2 ай бұрын
Can’t talk to resale but I’ve done a heap of research on the ANCAP report, for occupant safety it did extremely well, it just didn’t have the new safety software for keeping you in a lane etc. (which is what they base the number off now). That tech wasn’t in my previous vehicle so I still drive like I’m suppose to do all the work, and the people I know who have that new tech say it never works and they turn it off immediately. So not really a thing in my mind, just ANCAP making an example of a vehicle that doesn’t have cutting edge technology

I guess that start sto confusion in traffic is to save fuel when vehicle suddenly stops in a traffic when you press cluch brake and it goes to neutral engine stops to save fuel and as soon as you press cluch again engine starts.
@DanielSnareАй бұрын
Yes, shame they need to do that for emissions standards
@clashgaming6177Ай бұрын
@@DanielSnare yes In india for private vehicles their is very strict emission norms, though some people dont follow it but company have to follow it to save themselves from government crackdown, Its like 10% private vehicles are doing all the hardwork for 90% public vehicles.

Well done Daniel. Your vehicle looks amazing. I've also purchased a Scorpio N and am awaiting delivery. Do you perhaps know what the wheel PCD is? Is it 5x139 or 5x139.7?
