The music world profoundly missed this great Latvian conductor, Mariss Jansons.

I hav been listening to most of the orchestra recordings on KZbin. For me Mariss Jansons is the greatest of the yunger conductors…after the great Karajan…We will miss Mariss Jansons….Brynjar Hoff

Mariss Jansons was one of the leading orchestral conductors of his time, renowned for his mastery of a wide repertoire of Austro-German and Russian orchestral music. His interpretations were celebrated for their depth and emotional intensity, captivating audiences far beyond the classical music community. While his death is truly regrettable, his legacy will continue to inspire future generations and leave a lasting impact on the cultural contexts.
I don't care what anyone says - this is the most brilliant of the Mahler No. 1s!

Великолепный Марис Янсонс! Великолепная советская дирижёрская школа. Этот Малер "Титан" не хуже, чем у Эшенбаха, Кубелика и Аббадо. А это немало.
