Thanks for the video, it was nice to see an independent step by step guide vs the manufacturers. I have been having challenges getting it calibrated. I find the adjustment nob very temperamental and not easy to adjust. I also don’t like the fact I have to waste so much coffee just to change the grind size.

What are you doing to stop wasting? I have the same problem! I bought the single dose hopper from a 3rd party… I’ll see how it works.

Have you tried rpm control on your grinder through a voltage regulator, as far as I know that flat burr set at 800 rpm will get your more cleaner cup, and for conical burr set will be at 80 rpm that's the ideal rpm to produce just as clean as hand grinder for brew.

Dear Matt! Thanks for the video!! I also have seen the video from the manufacturer as well, and it is a little bit confusing in the last part, as they have something about getting back to factory settings and then the knob is putted back together. Any comments? Also, with this calibration, what numbers have you find that are the best for espresso? I have tried from 1 to 2.5 and it is too slow, almost with single drops coming outc guess it is too fine.

I've had this grinder a few weeks now and not that impressed. Takes forever to grind your dose to get all the grind out that is. Coffee comes trickling out at thee end and you have to wait for it all if you are single dosing. Not a good single dosing grinder. For an all around machine you shouldn't have to take the wheel off to readjust.....I could see this on an espresso only or pour over only grinder. The grinder isn't bad per se, but not quite what I expected. Looks good. If I was going for another single dosing grinder I'd look elsewhere.

Definitely wasn't designed to be a single dose grinder. Timed dose hopper-fed king that I do hope they change the adjustment dial on in the next iteration

Can you do a video to show how to connect to wifi? I can't get my grinder to connect to the wifi and my wifi symbol doesn't change to red like the online KZbin.

You don’t connect the grinder to the wifi network, you connect to the grinders network

The grinder MUST be running when adjusting the grind setting

That "bit of safety" and the difference in our coffees will unfortunately make my number all but useless to you. I think I was around 1 and 2 in most cases, but just dial in as you would any other grinder :)

It’s not all that uncommon for grinders to factor in a bit too much safety before “absolute” zero. I’ve also moved the X54 the opposite direction to grind coarser on occasion

Yes! You may find yourself needing to recalibrate the burrs at some point though. If I had the money at the time, I would have invested in the E65S!
