Great player, he has one of the most colorful stories of all athletes. Grew up in a single-parent family, as a 9 year old worked out everyday until he couldn't breath because he had to get to the nba to provide for his family, suffered from tourette's syndrome, couldn't leave basketball court for hours because he didn't feel perfect, was probably the best freshman in ncaa history, found islam, changed his name, fasted ramadan while in nba, refused to stand during national anthem because of muslim beliefs and after that everything went downhill nba-career-wise. He could've had as great of a career as Iverson had if it wasn't for these non-basketball related issues. Such a shame...

This is a crazy ass mix with one of my top five shooters of all time. Chris Jackson / AKA/ Mahmoud Abdul Raif. This dudes game was sick, you can’t leave him, it ain’t safe to leave him no where on the court. He can shoot from anywhere. I just can’t say enough about this dude as a basketball player. Mahmoud and Kenny Anderson are still the best 2 college point guards I ve ever seen. The year was 1989, just goggle 1989 LSU against Ga Tech.

Dude is/was cold. That dude was TOO good for college/high school. Dropping 50 points in games for a point guard in that era is wild. I can't even remember the last college guard to get 50. And he gets close to no room on those pull up jumpers, but the contests are nothing to him. Curry and Lillard get way more seperation. He might have the best contested pull up jump shot I've ever seen.

I turned my kids onto him. They are in their late 20's, but had never heard of him. Jawdropping is the best way to describe the way they felt after they looked him up. And they really couldn't believe how he torched you at the freethrow line, above 90%, while suffering with Tourette's ! This guy was absolutely DEADLY!

THE proto-Steph Curry! One of my closet favorites, too. When he got hot, just put your hands down on D because THERE AIN'T A DAMN THING YOU COULD DO ABOUT IT ANYWAY, HA!!! Also had Tourette's Syndrome, which made him a rather unique character in NBA lore. Best memory of him was seeing him torch the Bulls BADLY during their historic 72-win season and giving them one of their only 10 losses at the time while with the Nuggets. Heck of a player... :-)

I believe CJ or M-A-R has the highest percentage of muscle memory applied on a jumping shot level for all the players I've seen so far not just in NBA but in the whole hoop nation. Can't imagine how the level of basketball is now if only he did not became a victim of bullshit racism and NBA Politics. Doesn't matter what religion or what belief you have, as long as your in the basketball court, all is equal and what matters most is your skills and discipline. Steph Curry is also my Idol but agree with me or not, he is the only one that may eclipse the peat but Rauf is still better compared at this point in time of Curry's career. Record's wise, Rauf's NCAA is till not broken even soem of his NBA ones.. Cheers! and great video!!! Hope you can post latest videos of Rauf as to what he is doing now and how we can show him our support on-line.

If I could of modeled my game after a dude it would have been him. He was better than Curry, dudes like me that saw him in HS and College know the truth. Dude had fantastic footwork and lightning quick release that was unstoppable. You know when dudes r checking you 30 feet out you are complete bad ass. Loved watching him. And dont even get me started on that crossover! Saddest story in the history of sports, just because of his beliefs his was blackballed..ill never forgive NBA for it

too many 3 point shots in the first 6:14min . No need to pad an 18min reel with jump shots. Look at the SEC Tournament, 1989, Knoxville... Jackson grabs a missed shot from the other team. He's on his own & ends up triple teamed as time runs out to get to mid court. He hikes the ball 60ft between his legs and it catches up with (Vernel Singleton?) in stride. Many people would say it was worthy of an ESPY had Vernel made the layup. It would take all day to watch his best plays- mostly b/c you'll keep rewinding in awe. 90% of the first 6 minutes are 3 point shots. Not exactly entertaining though. -just 3 point shots.

sorry that i didn't pick the music to exactly exemplify chris jacksons beliefs/views. I chose music that i like and would go well with basketball footage regardless of which player that may be like many editors do on youtube and other sites. But obviously I'll have to check with you before I edit any more mixes to make sure I'm not overstepping any boundaries as an editor, or maybe I can just make the mixes the way I want to and have the freedom as a creative individual to chose the music that I enjoy for my videos. but whatever you are entitled to your opinion regardless of what I have to say. Thanks for your comment by the way and your view of my video. appreciate it
