Rauf is a legend. He has been one of the best shooters ever and he was still playing at the age of 50. Also he stood for the right thing to the point he lost what he spent his life for it. But he won it.

One of the greatest players to step on a professional court. No player could stop him period. Jordan couldn't, Scottie couldn't, Gary Payton couldn't, no body could stop this man. What happen to his career was down right tragic.

That’s because the NBA blackballed him. If he stayed in the NBA he would have been a all star and one of the best shooters. Plus the coaches gave him less playing time each game because he didn’t stand for the national anthem for his beliefs.

Lots of times with the “past player x would average much more in this era” it’s a pretty abstract thought exercise, but seeing his skill set at this age against recent pros it’s undeniable he’d be averaging 25+ had he hit the league in this scoring point guard (and hopefully more accepting) age
