Instead of delivering some fancy dresses to a customer, the girls wear them to a party.

We are so lucky to live in an age where at the touch of a few buttons the history of cinema is ours to behold. I, for one, am very grateful. I visit IMDb to feed my curiosity about the cast and trivia on almost every film I watch.

Always a treat to watch! I can never get too much of those two. :^) Great humor!

Fantastic short with Billy Gilbert was a totally underrated comedian. This gag with the clothes ripping and then sewing behind the curtain at three stooges reused in one of their shorts 😂

Thelma Todd’s greatest claim to fame was starring along side the irrepressible Laurel & Hardy.

This is supreme! Todd and Pitts at their best. The (Thomas) Marvin Hatley music scores of Hal Roach comedies of the period are wonderful.

Love that music grew up with it my whole life

@@jamesmentzer I erred somewhat. The Hal Roach films were primarily scored by Leroy Shield, as well as by Marvin Hartley. The _Beau Hunks_ have reprised the scores since 1992.

Thelma Todd was talented and gorgeous. In the words of Neil Diamond, "Done Too Soon."

Zasu is my favourite. She died in 1963, three weeks before my first birthday. I'm 62 now.

Mrs. Von Astorhorse- very clever pun! Seeing her peruse the dresses and lingerie well, it reminds me of the saying, " Fifty pounds of mud in a five pound bag." And Mr. Von Shmaltz, if my Yiddish is correct, translates as Mr. Aristocratic Chicken Fat...

I grew up watching these movies in the 70s. Saturday morning usually meant The Three Stooges but my favorites were Thelma & ZaSu. Enjoyed how they played themselves like the best comedians did. I saw several movies starring ZaSu where they gave her a character name & it just fealt wrong.
