Concerning this story, I really appreciated the TV version with Rowan Atkinson. He was magistral. Even here in France they grudgingly acknowledged that he had surprised every one with his version of Maigret. Thanks for these uploads. I have gone thru each of them 4 or 5 times on other channels and never tire of Maurice Denham's interesting performance. 😊

I’d like to know if Atkinson’s portrayal was closer to the author’s description in the novels?

I love these. I also have almost every book, and they are among the best ever. I've seen the tv series with the wonderful Michael Gambon, he recently passed away, age 82. Thank you for airing these. Maurice Denham was a very fine actor, too.

I am enjoying these plays so much, thank you! Were they produced for radio? I notice the run times are all about 42 minutes.

Rowan Atkinson's portrayal of Maigret was well done, as was Michael Gambon's portrayal. This radioplay series is done as if Maigret is telling Simenon about his cases. A new twist on story telling but creative. The only thing that is annoying is the music starting at the end while the actors are still talking. Enjoy hearing these stories. Thanks!

Hmm, deux chats, white with ginger, and darker - perhaps Siamese? Agree with below about the Maigret series circa 2018 featuring an extraordinary production team and cast led by a quiet, contemplative Rowan Atkinson - proving wonderfully that sometimes, less is more!!

I have read and listened to and watched Simenon. I really like the cats used in the art; of course, I would. I am a childless cat lady.
